*puts on biologist hat* there is currently no evidence to suggest that there are any benefits to eating the placenta.
After the pregnancy it is just waste matter, it that can contain a lot of toxins and bacteria, all of which can then be passed from the mother to the newborn via breast milk.
DON'T EAT YOUR PLACENTA
