2021-02-12 11:38:30 +0000 UTCone of my profs had us play a "slave simulation game" they had created as an example for something we could do in the classroom (i'm a teacher). you rolled a die for results (# of times you get whipped, if you successfully run away to canada, if you die, etc). the idea is to entertain students with something interactive + using them critical thinkin' skills (and probs to fill up class time lol) vs lecturing them, but oof, it just comes off very distasteful and poorly thought out :/
