I w t more vids like this plz

I love watching your guys' discussions, its thought provoking for me and always opens my mind to new perspectives and ideas ! Love you guys, keep doing you !

As a millennial who was emotionally unintelligent as a teenager and early 20s, who became more self reflective and aware - i can now see fully how emotional intelligence and control is CRITICAL to professional development and maturity. You can be emotionally intelligent AND “tough” at the same time. You CAN be active and emotionally intelligent - those two are the best combinations. I think what the older folks at jk are trying to instill in younger gen, is to be more self reliant and independent, which requires forced sacrifice - fear - anxiety - peer pressure and conflict management - stress. These are all things where an emotionally dismissive person can survive in but long term as their peers change, will be harder to maintain. but someone who is emotionally intelligent will be able to come out of it all less damaged. When you are emotionally UNINTELLIGENT, you aren’t self-aware of when you’re wrong. You aren’t aware of subconscious problems that affect your behavior. I think jk is also in a unique bubble where most people they know are kids of immigrants. Immigrants and their children have a very unique tenacity. They should read a book called Price if Inequality - first chapters look at generational wealth. One thing I wish joe and bart would bring up is financial knowledge should be super important for zoomers. Joe mentioned before the student loan bubble - be aware of predatory policies and people that drive for those changes.

Good question.

I’m Gen Z. Like this comment if you’re also gen z

I think Gen Z are being called Zoomers is cause we've been using Zoom a lot (meeting up with friends, classes, meetings)

Guy look up Gregory McQueen this the one of the guy you Will have to go up to if you were being sexually harassed etc this fucker got caught running a sex ring in forth hood

Surprised they were weren’t no conspiracy suggestions of what really happened

I might be wrong but I think Zoomer is more talking about the older millennials that have the "boomer mindset."

I reckon the butthurt people Bart and Joe are actually talking about are the Millennials. We millennials grew up around the transition of the information era rather than having it in abundance. We had to transition from being in a tiny bubble from childhood, to being exposed to the entire globalization of the world. No wonder it is overwhelming and people are 'getting woke' to suddenly becoming extremely sensitive and soft. The majority of the OG JK crew are all millenials. Zoomers on the other grow up with this and will be able to control it much better than us. The entire progression of humanity as a whole is much better as Tiff has said. I reckon this is just another version of human evolution. Flipside if the world went through an apocalyptic event where we had to rely on raw survival instincts, that would be an interesting discussion. Just a thought.

Millenials are fd up

As a GEN Z lol I've seen people around me who always said oh I have this and that and I can't do anything because of all this issues. I use to have the same mindset but my parents helped me push through all the bs in my head :)

And if you stand out and go against the grain you’re stamped out for conformity sake. You should check out this video about MLK surviving in today’s PC climate, its hilarious.

Allen Xavier Silva

How exactly? All he does is make banal comments for contradiction sake, and he fails to see the point being made...I guess you’re right, he did represent the younger generation perfectly.

Allen Xavier Silva

The definition of anecdotal evidence, and just plain wrong...that’s not even factoring the impact of covid

Allen Xavier Silva

so basically theres a ton of conformity and a leader is supposed to be bold

Pee pee poo poo

Great conversation all around, thanks for answering my questions yet again JK fam! I think I'll never get tired of Tiff struggling with my name though haha

Also Tiff was talking about choice overload

I’m 21 and I even feel like Nelson is too emotional. Every time there’s a discussion he brings emotion into the conversation and it just skews the whole point. I feel like making decisions based of emotion isn’t even something you should do and anyone who’s intelligent or has common sense will tell you that. It’s cool that he’s trying to show and defend the Gen Z perspective and all. I see what Bart and Joe were saying too, everyone is scared to have their own opinions or ideologies because everyone brings emotion into the conversation and you can get shunned if you don’t agree with the emotional side because it’s seen as not ethical. I just don’t want to see censorship take over and everyone getting canceled because of others emotions.

feel like Joe is saying the older generation is better at compartmentalising which is better for leadership. emotional intelligence alone might cause a problem. also I read in hawking's brief answers to the big questions that information overload, as bart mentioned, is a problem because evolution cant keep up with the rate at which we're processing information, and that can hinder our survival. the world can't work on ideals and introspection alone.

Joe’s so old more kids are going to college getting high paying jobs at 22-30 my cousins a doctor at 28! Those stories are a lot more common now gen z 💩on boomers

This was such a good conversation, Nelson did a great job in showing the perspectives of the younger generation as well.
