Researchers Are Trying to Find Out if California Already Has Herd Immunity

I live in NYC in one of the most affected areas and boyyyy I’m sure my whole neighborhood and surrounding neighborhood got it because my whole family got sick in March. Some were symptomatic and others showed no symptoms. My mom talked to other neighbors and many of them said they tested positive. I feel at this rate everyone will get it. And tbh I think whether you get it really bad or not depends on luck or how much of the virus you were exposed to because as a young person with no underlying condition that I know of expect asthma when I was a baby, 19, I still got it really bad and worse than my parents. Stay safe jk fam. 🙏🏽

Welcome to the club. It’s nice here, the toxic negativity is rare

I decided to finally become a Patreon, and it was the best decision I've made especially during this quarantine

Casey was on fire. We need him more often as JKN cast.

Me, my husband, and my oldest son had all the symptoms of corona back in January and it was so bad I thought I was dying. Also I live by LAX and deal with clients picking up and dropping off their dogs before and after their flights.

That's not what shes saying at all. What they said was that if someone has a car accident(drunk driving), and they test positive for COVID after the accident, if they were to die they would count that death as a COVID death and not a drunk driving death

Tiff seems pretty annoyed by the COVID19 epidemic, but she needs to stop making unsubstantiated claims like hospitals are proclaiming COVID deaths from car accidents. You can't generalize that about all hospitals and the evidence is that most hospitals dont have enough tests to be able to rightfully claim COVID deaths. You making those assumptions only makes people take this epidemic less seriously and could harm peoples lives.

I just want to know if this was when Steve had that 5 day migraine because I had one at the same time LOL.

Not an expert by any means, but what if it was a similar strand that Californians were exposed to which did build up some type of immunity to this one (but not exactly)? I mean to say that this immunity was in such a way that it was enough for them to now have a more resilient immune system or be asymptomatic.

There's a huge logical gap with this herd immunity conclusion... because IF California would have had this outbreak in such huge numbers in fall 2019 already.... the hospitals would have noticed it definitely. The ICUs would then have been overwhelmed already in fall..... it doesn‘t make sense why the Rona virus would cause much more hospitalized cases needing ventilators now - but not back in fall 2019. Jus‘ sayin‘...... makes not much sense. 🤷🏻‍♂️ We had heavy Influenza waves here in germany in december through february too - and I got sick myself like I‘ve never been before.... not the average flu... but the real one. And it spread fast and knocked out 5 colleagues of mine within 2 days apart. I still don‘t think that it was the Ronas. The numbers and what where seeing right now from the people getting really sick.... it‘s different.... way different...

I’m from Kuwait and I feel like our numbers are the closest to being accurate. Our ministry of health updates on instagram everyday (Kuwait_moh) they post the number of active cases, people in quarantine they even let us know where each person got it from whether it’s from travel or being in contact with someone. Probably easier for us cause we are a much smaller country with a smaller population, and cause we started putting travelers in quarantine since the end of February. We do have an 11 hour mandatory lockdown everyday, and all places are offering delivery now so people won’t gather. But they still do and that’s causing our numbers to keep going up.
