I’m not worried about protecting men from fake allegations, I’m worried about protecting women from sexual assault. Even if a CGI fake person jumps in your Lyft doesn’t mean you’re entitled to touch them, which is what Erik is defending? Ew.
Men don’t need to be protected from women, women need to be protected from men.
Missing the whole point of the backlash.

outraged ones are prob pissed because they don't want robots to have the same emotional/physical suffering as humans such as in sexual assault....but i feel like this whole discussion is the purpose of the CGI content LOLL to make us think of the morality involving robots and if they have feelings/be treated "right"....i totally agree with the crew too tho because why would i be outraged by this form of storytelling- it is fictional events based on real life- how is that any different from exaggerated or true to life fiction on blackmirror?

I think people not knowing the intent makes things weird. Before, people questioned if she was real but heavily edited to look fake. My guess is that people see the account, an influencer, as trying to make money, so it shouldn't bring assault into it because it could be exploitative.. Not that I care myself. The whole thing is dumb

at first, it felt like a slap in the face having a completely fake influencer tell a fabricated story in a manner someone who actually has been through the shit and having the courage to speak out about it may have. but im glad more influencers, celebrities, etc are speaking out so others dont feel so afraid and weird about it. still dont like lil miquela though

I actually support "her". Her story presented in this particular way + her being CGI might be more relatable to the younger generations (I'm old so I don't know what I'm talking about) and might make this topic easier to talk about. Youtuber/Social media women who talk about something so personal might be a bit more mature and not have the new generation as their following but this CGI girl might

The story sounds like a tana storytime

That's what I'm getting too and maybe just being in bad taste from trying to make her relatable. Unlike in tv/movies where characters undergo bad situations for development or plot to the story, she was purely created to be an influencer and it just seems a bit much to add that in when it never happened. Idk I'm not too hung up on it.

No reason to be enraged its literally just cgi but I guess it's cause in movies the characters and situations are based on real life, but with the cgi maybe it seems like she's only trying to be relatable 🤷♀️

5:43 Just because this story was unreal and didn't happen, doesn't mean that this never happens to people? I'm with Steve on this. Twitter is a shitfest.
