Doctors refusing to tie a woman's tube is more common than you think for the same exact reason the doctor gave, "you're so young, you have no kids, you'll probably change your mind later." It's really fucked up that the doctor will just impose their own feelings and opinions on women but happily perform a vasectomy on a childless, young man without resistance.
