*New Segment* Conspiracy Corner: Bad Cops

*New Segment* Conspiracy Corner: Bad Cops

Comments

poor baby shouldn't have even been shot. that's a scared child his last moments were going freaking running to help and that help killed him

20 second clips on Twitter speak volumes on how cops treat black people. I'm not sure this cast is the best to speak on this issue, except Antoine. He's said before that he doesn't always agree with the black community, so maybe pick people who have stronger opinions on the issue? And who maybe have a experience with harassment from the police?

I want to weigh in on this one so bad but I also do a deep eye roll at the super lengthy responses so...Love the conspiracy corner segment! Thanks for keeping me entertained :D

A. Stamper

CC <3

Just another job where they can take lives so not just another job... Also they chose to work there

But the good ones don't out the bad ones a lot of the time sooooo

Julia got a lot of interesting friends, must be nice dawg

There is a lot of cognitive dissonance in this community... but maybe im missing something

now i get conspiracy corner.... you guys made it sound so stupid in the beginning...

The biggest argument is the corruption. Military personnel, doctors are reprimanded way more when they hurt innocent civilians, but cops get off murder charges. They are dealing with lives. There is immense lack of reprimand/safeguards put in the system to protect civilians against cops who've murdered innocent civilians. There has not been one instance where this issue has been addressed, at least to my knowledge. I disagree with the majority views of this cast, as their focus was wrongfully directed to individual character of each cop, and not the institutional corruption that exists.

Yess!! Now I am so happy I invested in patron now that this new segment is out.

I've never shot an innocent person...

For those that are interested: In law enforcement, there is the term degree of force, meaning that the police are legally allowed to either match or one up the amount of force that the suspect using or is in the attempt of using. In some states, there is also a law known as the fleeing felon rule. It says that when a felony has been committed and the offender is fleeing, if they pose a threat of serious physical harm, either to the officer or to others, it is not constitutionally unreasonable for the police to prevent escape by using deadly force. For the “shoot them in the leg” argument, as they said in the video, it is very very difficult to hit a small, rapidly moving target. Even if you do manage to hit them in the leg, it doesn’t guarantee that they’ll go down or stop. Police and military are trained to shoot until the threat is eliminated. That doesn’t mean kill. It means eliminated. If the offender has to die for them to finally surrender, then that’s just what happens. Another point: traffic stops are one of the most dangerous parts of policing because of the fact that it is so easy for the officer to be ambushed. Policing is also one of the most stressful and difficult jobs a person can do. As a cop, you are dealing with some of the most scum people in the world and in most situations have to be able to use lightning fast thinking. Police also are recently being painted as being corrupt, bad, and enemies of the people and are treated with immense disregard and disrespect from people. Cops are regular people who do all the same stuff you do. It’s just another job. They just want to get paid and go home to their families each night.
