Saud family oil deal was successful which is why they thought the Iran thing would work with the Shah. But iranian revolution happend. So iran they lost, saudi they kept. In iraq, they put their guy saddam in power, but he wouldn't play ball after he took shit over. so they killed his ass. Afghanistan was for NG pipelines and opium. syria, they can't seem to get yet. libya, i dont have a clue, but its just all fucked up. now all of this happens while china is becoming the superpower, palenstine is being used as a distraction, yemen doesn't have shit but look whats happening there, failed distraction (pray for yemen), and surprise, the beginning of the end of an empire begins. China is soon going to be the world superpower, and iran russia syria and a few other countries will be in their pocket. saudi, jordan, kuwait, and even israel will be marginalized. Places like bahrain and lebanon will have a regime change under the new superpower and a whole new dichotomy will emerge in the region. until the next empire claims it's place at least.

To answer Joes question, what made Al Queda turn on the US was the gulf war, they went to their govt to offer to fund and fight for Saudi Arabia against Iraq but were essentially told “don’t call us we’ll call you” then the Saudi’s aligned with us instead which is why we fought in the gulf war which pissed off Osama who felt like this was a holy war and we exploited it for profit and that was the turning point for him.

So from what I remember, the U.S. only helped the mujahideen because if they won, that meant one less country under communism rule. The problem was that the mujahideen were not necessarily against the Soviet Union because they were communist. They were against the invasion of any western nation trying to influence and control their people, their politics, and their way of living. So they accepted the U.S. help because they expected the U.S. to leave the middle east once the war was over. But once the Soviet Union lost, the U.S. did not leave the middle east and that's why they turned against us. I could be totally wrong

also i suspect oswald was really a random event.... its the fuck ups that happened afterwards and possibly before that was covered up

Its very difficult to know what actually happened for us regular folk in the west, hence these are all just conspiracies. Geopolitics is never black and white, the only way to know the truth is if you are the ones in power in the geopolitical realm.

No JOE!!!! The movie your referencing about Cheney "VICE" is one of the worst pieces of information in recent memory. The movie predicates much of its characterization of Cheney through hearsay. And further perpetuates the myth that the only reason we went to Iraq in the first place was for oil, when in reality it was a national sense of revenge post 9/11. I really like these videos but maybe refrain from referencing a movie that has been so universally panned by scholars as misinformation.

With every attack and political issue between governments it’s always the same big countries involved, they’ve created their own hexagon of evil where they share money and war tips. I’m from Kuwait and don’t trust half of the countries next to us. I don’t think this is a conspiracy, whether the US planned it or let it happen they somehow got something out of it.

I'm from Saudi Arabia, there are a lot of misinformation about Saudi. I don't think the gov was involved at all. At that time, USA was one of the only allys of Saudi, it wouldn't make any sense for Saudi to attack USA. Bin Laden used a lot of Saudis on this attack because he used to be Saudi. He trusted them more & knew how they think. It makes sense.

I was 8 when 9-11 happened, so I barely remember what I was doing. But years later, I remember my parents feeling like Bush was milking the 9-11 thing. Especially when there were other disasters, but it felt like they were given shorter attention.

Opioids is the same reason why we went to Vietnam as well. Ive heard stories where troops had to act like they didn’t see/hear anything about opiniods. Opioid production in Vietnam at the time was high and US went to war with them to supposedly stop the spread of communism. This segment is awesome. My brother was an intelligence analyst and had to train some middle eastern folks (for another country), who also got top security clearance. He also said the bin laden's were air lifted by the government when the flight ban was in effect. Crazy stuff.
