Well not really. It only applies to the city doing business with these states, not the city's businesses.
It's a symbolic gesture.

i think the thought behind this is cool. theyβve said on jk news a bunch of times that the best way to incite change is with your dollar, which is actually what SF chose to do. granted this is a whole city withholding their dollars rather than an individual consumer, which definitely changes things. i think this could be interesting if more big cities followed suit - LA, NYC, seattle, portland, and more. that would put significant economic pressure on the anti-choice states and could actually make a difference

ehhhhh idk about this one. 22 states is a lot, and restricting business could cause a radical change in the economy. I agree with Joe, business is not politics you can't mix the two together.
