As soon as Nikki said the word "depression" I immediately noticed her resemblance to the depression kitty, from big mouth, this episode

Lol, I knew a guy sort of like what Joe described near the end. If he didn't get his way, he would tell lies about you. It didn't matter if you weren't even rude, if his delusions took offense to anything you said or did, regardless of how harmless it was, he would tell lies that would either make him look like a victim or a hero (both to get sympathy or some sort of recognition). Fortunately, he's too stupid to keep a story straight. One time he told me one thing through text and shortly after, told me something completely different lmao. He had very strong signs of covert narcissism to the T. Also his "friend" isn't that much better of a person because the type of people you choose to hang out with says a lot about the type of person you are.

Well said.

I'm a clinical psychologist, like an actual psychologist not an "I-pretend-to-be-something-important-so-I-can-talk-shit-online" psychologist, and the thing is that if one of my patients comes to me and tells me about their struggles I can either relate because I went through a similar thing or I can relate because I went through a different thing which demanded a similar energy consumption. It's not necessary to go through the same hell to come out a strong person, it’s most definitely not necessary to go through hell to become a decent and empathetic human being, those things can be learned without having to experience immense pain and by having to sacrifice ones youth, it just happens to be the most common way for a lot of people. A well raised child will know empathy and kindness even without personal trauma. So if a patient comes to me and asks how they can avoid making the same mistakes with their own child as their parents did with them, I tell them to just love their children as they themselves wanted to be loved. Of course it’s a bit more complicated than that (but that would blow this verbal outburst) thank you for coming to my patreon talk
