2019-10-26 20:14:22 +0000 UTCI think this says quite a lot about our attitude towards sex as a country. It's one of the few things I can't understand about the US at all. As far as I can tell the answer to any "why" question about the US can ultimately be boiled down to money accept for the illegality of prostitution and general shaming of anything sexual. I would think however that absolutely nothing is more in demand than sex. Not going to look it up but I'm willing to bet that it has to be within the top 5 industries in the country as is now (and probably even higher world wide). So I can't for the life of me figure out why we don't try to take care of those people or spend so much energy shaming them.
