2019-09-04 22:09:14 +0000 UTCThere's actually more to the clip you guys watched where the man actually said that he and the woman had a close relationship and that they were friends and that he forgives her but he's glad this moment was used to educate her and others. While I do think she didn't mean what she said, there are a lot of black people who doesn't believe that ANYONE can be so ignorant as to make those kinds of jokes. I personally think that a lot of people grow up in a bubble either because they weren't exposed, or because they don't care much about our history since it doesn't necessarily involve them. I also think some people know the history but they still feel like they can say what they want and they don't give a fuck about who they hurt. I mean people still fight to say the "N" word til this day whether it's with their friends (black or not) and if the word is in song lyrics. Then you have other black people who tell their non black friends that it's cool to say it which is ignorant because people will get their ass beat or killed for saying that around the wrong person. Black history is just an intricate things. You can't just ignore the history and the hurt.. just because a couple hundred years has past since the end of slavery. That shit is still fresh. My grandma is only 70 and she remembers picking cotton and being refused service because she and her mother was black.
