Something going on here... let's see what's up!
Here is the the mix of underlying pencils and overlying inks, before things get cleaned up. I already had to massively reposition Juni's nose because I drew it too high up on her face.
Now things are much cleaner and I have the opportunity to star closing leftover "tails and gaps" among lines.
Now things are tightened up a lot, and detail is added and the beginnings of color are tossed in. I don't normally draw from this angle, looking slightly up at a character from a lower point of view. I generally find it difficult to draw from such an angle, but that's why I try it from time to time.
Now we see a lot of detail thrown in, even already tossing in shading before backgrounds are done-- I typically do background first.
One thing I like about the military setting is that I can use the same piece of background set over and over, precisely because military buildings are specifically designed to all look alike. It makes my job so much easier!
Even stretching background pictures to appear to be placed at different perspective. So much work saved!
Well, that's that... see you soon!
