So, as I write this, it is April 4th and I am getting ready to go on two weeks of leave. I am not taking my computer with me as part of this vacation is specifically to unplug-- I've been working in Kosovo since October without a real break, and I spend most of my time hunched over a computer making briefings and powerpoints and stuff like that--so, yeah, some time away from screens is looking good.
Obviously I pre-posted some stuff the last week or so, so that I don't just leave everyone in the lurch. I won't have anything for this upcoming Friday but by next week I hope to have some plans.
The good news is-- I have Doodles loaded every Monday all the way through July. So if nothing else, at least that will continue for awhile (if it ever gets to the point where nothing is posting but Monday Doodles, and there's no other content, that means something awful has happened and I probably need help somewhere).

I've been posting everything there from day one's first comic to all the regular comics, and it is finally reaching the point where it has caught up. Now it will be posting on the same schedule as the regular website: on the 1st, the 10th, and the 20th of each month.

The comics have also been getting posted on Tapas as well, and by June I should be all caught up there as well-- sorta. I will have the main story of the original Iraq deployments wrapped up. I am then going to officially declare that one "finished", and it should clock in at almost 800 pages. I will then skip all the 2020-2024 material and just go right to the KFOR story for another, albeit shorter, complete story. I won't post every weekday, either; I'll probably pace it out as Mondays and Thursdays, the original schedule of the first Iraq Deployment comic.
Patreon Members Mailers:
Usually in late Winter/early Spring I create a new comic book and send that out. This year, obviously, I was not able to do that. Still, mailers are going out and should be reaching paid Patreon subscribers sometime in the next few weeks. One of the items you'll be getting is one of the actual Stars & Stripes newspapers from 2005, when BOHICA Blues was featured in an article by Jason Chudy. Yes, I collected dozens of these, and yes, I saved them, and yes, they're real and I'm sending them to people! Are they valuable? I have no idea. You're all also getting some signed originals from the early days of the comic.
That's all for now. I hope this reaches you in good health. By the time you read this I will be almost done with my vacation, and back in Kosovo by the weekend. Then, "sometime in the June to July timeframe" we are going to be heading back to the States --I'm not banking on that too much because our orders are through August, but if it happens, great.
