Oh good god! I watched this entire episode thinking it was the series finale, until you said two more episodes at the very end! I too was like you going "what the hell guy?!" --- that whole bit at the end there.... just like you're walking and someone pulls the rug out from under you! Okay ... two more episodes... two more episodes to get some answers! If it actually had ended like this as much as I love this series and these characters I'm not sure I could recommend this to anyone.

It definitely is beautifully written as a confession and what really makes it fascinating, even after the reveal, is Deok-seon's reaction to me. So measured and definitely layered imo. Lol, the essays people wrote this way and that when this was on TV, it's all coming back! Anyway, without going too deep into it, there's a little crossover in this episode with another, related drama. That would explain the scenes that you weren't sure were flashbacks or not!
