Since you understand how Kdramas work, you probably suspect where this is going. About the lawyer revealing the truth. If a lawyer fails to represent the interests of their client they will be open to a lawsuit and could be disbarred as well. It's an ethical violation to do anything to harm the clients interests. The only course of action which is ethical is to resign from the case.
