SCPs of Megapatch II - full list!

Hello again! It's been a while since the last post, but we weren't idle! We have managed to finish all animations, sounds and scripts responsible for handling the new SCP items. I'm happy to say that we're now finishing Megapatch II. There are several more features we haven't shared with you yet, but stay tuned for the next posts, for which you won't have to wait too long, hopefully ;)

SCP-500 - "Panacea"

Let's see what the official SCP Foundation wiki says:

"SCP-500 is a small plastic can which contains red pills. One pill, when taken orally, effectively cures the subject of all diseases within two hours, exact time depending on the severity and amount of the subject's conditions. Despite extensive trials, all attempts at synthesizing more of what is thought to be the active ingredient of the pills have been unsuccessful.

As in any other SCP, we had to make our changes for the sake of gameplay. Before we start the actual description, please make sure you are familiar with two previous posts:

-"Megapatch II changes!"
-"Care Package Deployed!"

So, as you know, we're doing a lot of changes in terms of medical items. More information about them are planned to be released with one of the next posts. Medkits are now more accessible, but the treatment time takes over four seconds. They also regenerate much less health now. SCP-500 pills come with help. The administration is almost immediate and  heals the player completely. It also adds a slow regeneration for a couple of seconds, which can allow you to withstand longer under fire.

SCP-500 can also disable all negative effects of other SCPs. However, we've decided to not allow players to heal SCP-049-02 ("zombies"). If it was allowed, it could create situations in zombies wouldn't attack their former friends and wait until those find SCP-500.

SCP-268 - "Cap of Neglect"

This SCP's principle of operation strongly differs from the wiki's description:

"Anyone wearing the hat, however, becomes suddenly and instantly unnoticeable. Subjects become unmemorable, thoroughly ignorable, or 'taken for granted' by all observers. Observers, with specific prompting, are able to later recall physically seeing the subject, but can give no specific details other than 'seeing a man with a hat'."

We're currently at the stage of balancing this SCP, so I can't provide any specific numbers. It's an wearable item, which makes players invisible for a certain time. This effect instantaneously cancels when the carrier performs any interaction (like opening a door, shooting, etc.).

That's everything I can say for now, since we're still unsure how to properly balance this SCP. We're trying to change some numbers, adding cooldown effects and making other conditions. Stay tuned for final results ;)

SCP-207 - "Cola Bottles"

This description on the wiki gave us some freedom of interpretation:

"The liquid has been classified as SCP-207-1, and is to be treated as a Class 2 chemical hazard. (...) Mass spectroscopy and chemical tests have shown higher than usual concentrations of caffeine and sugars (both natural and artificial), along with [REDACTED]. The practical effect of this is when a subject drinks SCP-207-1, they will effectively no longer require sleep or rest, nor attempt to sleep or rest."

This SCP has very simple effect - it increases the movement speed, but also slowly drains health, which requires from a player a set of medical items to bring out its full potential. SCP-500 cancels the entire effect.

We believe that the connection of SCP-207, SCP-268 and SCP-500 is going to something really strong :)

SCP-018 - "Super Ball"

As usual, let's start with the wiki description:

"SCP-018 was noted to be able to bounce with extreme height. At first thought to be a pleasant child's toy, SCP-018 was able to bounce with over two hundred percent (200%) efficiency (that is, if dropped one (1) meter, it would bounce two (2), then four (4), then eight (8), then sixteen (16)). The ball soon became a dangerous projectile, reaching speeds estimated at over 100 km/h and damaging property and injuring five (5) in the city of █████████████"
Read more at scp-wiki.net

For the sake of gameplay, we've decided to decrease the bouncing efficiency. After deployment, the ball gets faster every time it hits something. At a certain speed it can deal damage, break glass or even destroy doors.

SCP-018 is used as a kind of grenade; extremely powerful in small rooms, like elevators.

Summary

That concludes the current list of finished SCP items. The list is incomplete and has room for other SCP items that we're going to add in this update. Everything depends on the time required for bugfixing. If we managed to fix all the issues faster than we expected, we would have some free time for additional features. For now, prepare for the last posts regarding Megapatch Part II :)

OwO What's this?

nvm, they've showed us the 096 model during the twitch stream, it looks amazing.

Mattfromwiisports

neat

I really hope this isn't all thats gonna be in Megapatch 2, I hope that that the models of 096, 939-53, or even the 049-2 models get a massive overhaul, hopefully because we haven't really seen much aside from minor leaks.

Mattfromwiisports

While I know a lot of people are excited about SCP-500, it's SCP-018 that has my full attention, looking forward to seeing in action.

I can’t believe it’ll be here soon, it looks amazing

This looks really good

The ball will be fun to use

O boy! A new way for people to teamkill in the elevator. Instead of a deadly grenade, they just yeet a red bouncy ball

Ah, good, another grenade for the elevator.
