Castle Chillon is my favorite place in Switzerland because of Byron's poem The Prisoner of Chillon. Standing in that dungeon I couldn't believe someone could survive in there for 4 years. The windows are open and just above the level of the lake. Prisoners were chained to pillars in the dungeon.
