Hola Familia!

Look at me! I am on time this week! I am not going to lie. I got home yesterday and told myself I was going to get started on what I need to record tomorrow and I crashed. I sat in bed looking at what I needed to get done and...BOOM! I was out. I'm typing this at 11:13PM Friday night because now I can't sleep! Oh well, there's good music coming!

Here's the line-up:

• BAND-MAID Sunday

  • It's time for WORLD DOMINATION! I have reacted to a few songs off of this album and "Domination" was my first introduction to this wonderful band. I cannot wait to dive in here and on Patreon! For YouTube this Sunday, we are going to start with track 1 of the album, "I Can't Live Without You." The score is going to be fun to dive into as well as live performances from concerts! Let's gooooo!

  • Okay...this is embarrassing. I was talking to a coworker about this song being suggested on my Patreon, and they looked at me like I was born yesterday. They told me that it's possible that I have heard this song, but I may only had heard it in commercials. They told me I would have a great time, so I am excited to fill in the musical blanks in my musical catalogue!

• Gary Moore - The Messiah Will Come Again

  • Watching guitarists do their craft never gets boring for me. I love watching how they move their fingers with such finesse. To me it's very similar to watching and listening to a flutist perform a recital. We continue the journey of guitar greats with Gary Moore! I looked up who Moore was and I saw that he was part of Thin Lizzy! I cannot wait to hear his playing in this video.

• BAND-MAID - I Can't Live Without You (score analysis & live version from Line Cube Shibuya, Feb 14, 2020)

  • I waited to make sure I could line up YouTube reactions with Patreon reactions so I could do cool stuff like this! I am excited to get into the score and I am happy to do live show reactions as well. I might need your help to figure out what DVD's or Prime videos have performances of songs I'll be checking out!

ANIME Reactions:

• Sound! Euphonium, Season 2, Ep. 13

  • EVEN THE EPILOGUE GOT ME! I was ALL TEARS in almost every single episode of this season. I am NOT lying when I say that this show really hits home for a band kid's heart. I started talking to my students about this anime and a few of them have started it and agree that this is the life they lived and every former band kid has lived.

• Rock is a Lady's Modesty, Ep. 13

  • I feel like this show ends so quickly. I am so happy that their last concert goes the way it does, but I feel like I want to see more. I want to see where the band goes. How do the ladies hide their hardcore personas and continue their journey to possibly be a Noble Maiden? I mean...they are Noble Maidens to me...just sayin'!

• K-ON!, Season 1, Ep. 8

  • I really love Ui. Yui's sister is so loving and supportive of her older sister that it just warms your heart. Now that she is in her freshman year, she is looking for a club to join, but also chooses to help her sister recruit for the Light Music Club. They have a potential new member and she seems really excited about the band!

NEW ANIME COMING!!!

• Liz and the Blue Bird (Movie)

  • I want to continue Sound! Euphonium to the end. I love this series and I plan on taking on the whole shebang, so we continue out journey with the film that goes before season 3! I have never reacted to a movie yet, but I am excited to do this!

• Apothecary Diaries

  • This anime has been suggested to me twice and the synopsis seems pretty interesting so I am excited to jump into it. Maomao, who is a skilled apothecary. is kidnapped and sold into servitude. Her knowledge of poisons and medicine catches the attention of Jinshi, a court official. She becomes an investigator who uses her intelligence to solve medical mysteries! Let's dive in!

I hope you are looking forward to the weekend like I am. I have been a tired lady since the marching season started. There's only a month and a half left of the season, and as much as I love it, I cannot wait for it to be over. Although, when it's over I'm going to be wishing it was back again! Oh well...
