Jimi was a powerhouse. He was taken from this earth too soon. His guitar playing was unique with his style and sound. Also...right handed guitar!?

Dave Mason (of Traffic) had a good version on his 1974 album that used to get some radio airplay on Classic Rock stations. And U2 had a good Live version on their Rattle and Hum (1988) album.

2025-06-30 01:06:03 +0000 UTCMany people may know this, but for those who don't, Jimi Hendrix, before he became known to all of us as a rock icon, was a paratrooper in the Army. I have heard that he broke his leg in a jump (not uncommon) and that ended his military career. But the guy was an amazing guitarist and artist whose influence is still reflected and admired today.
