I'm pretty sure the Medley was filmed during the debut Itzy stage and this was their intro to the world, I'm pretty sure this was the first live Dalla Dallla stage. (edit - I think I got up really early to watch this - lol)

2021-06-21 03:01:17 +0000 UTCSomeone correct me if I'm wrong - I didn't find Itzy until ICY, but as far as I know this taped debut medley stage is one of the first (if not THE first) performances the group released. Clever idea from JYPe too.. 1) always good to cross promote (I only got into Twice several months later from watching Itzy's cover dances on variety shows) 2) it shows some of the evolution of kpop and JYPe girlgroups over the prior 12 years (CW is right to keep mentioning how while JYPe groups always have that JYPe dna, they're also distinct from each other which is so important) 3) it demonstrates Itzy's range in being able to cover the prior groups' work in a blend of the original artists with their own something thrown in. Out of the other tracks I'm most familiar with Ooh Ahh.. Yeji is so different from Momo, but she still kills that part, and Ryujin is SOO different from Sana, so her point&wink isn't cutie/sexy, it's her own coolgirl/tongue-in-cheek version. And range brings us to Want It. I never thought of AC/DC, but CW is right, that guitar riff sounds very much like an AC/DC intro. The 2 tracks are so different, but both great (and Itzy charismas the heck out of both of them).. I wonder if JYPe considered doing an Itzy double debut the way Blackpink did? I mean, I guess things worked out ok regardless. 👑
