Whether or not you know who makes the group changes what you get from the show. When you don't know you get caught up in focusing on your favorites and miss a lot of what JYP is doing in the selection process. This is especially true of the second season when it becomes clear very early on which girls he really wants in the group. The first season he's focusing on potential and then improvement with each performance. The second season is all about improvement and how each one reacts to pressure.

Not knowing is good, but that doesn't make knowing bad, it's just different (dalla dalla! ..you'll get that dumb joke later). The juxtaposition of Yuna and Ayaka having the exact opposite challenges is very interesting. And then to hit the point home they throw us a Goldilocks Riria. NiziU has a 5 hour first realityish series ('We need U!') from november, very similar to early TwiceTV / Twice's Elegant Private Life. I've seen the thumbnails for their Scout thing but haven't watched yet. Not sure if they did a series in-between the two.
