Channel Update + Livestream on Saturday night + Silent Movie Day update

Just a quick (and depressing, but necessary) update video for right now. If you've followed me closely enough over the last 10 months or so, you probably have a good idea of the subject matter.

Anyway, I will be doing a special Archiveland Public Domain Theatre livestream on Saturday night as a lead into Silent Movie Day 2024 (which occurs this Sunday)--a sampling of Buster Keaton shorts with a unique-to-VHS piano score. If at all possible, the next regular OA episode (this year's Silent Movie Day episode) will drop here on Patreon on, well...Saturday, then publicly on Sunday, but I make no guarantees. It's only about 20% edited right now.

Not gonna lie, I came straight here after commenting on that video and dropped a dono. Been meaning to do that anyways.

There’s a reason why I became a supporter of you very early on Ben. It’s because you are one of the best Contant creators out there, but more than anything as you have shown during this recent struggle, you have strength and amazing where with all during what has got to be one of the most heartbreaking periods of a person’s life. Know that you have a huge amount of fans and supporters who love you and care about you and I’ll be saying a prayer for you and your family tonight

My heart breaks for you, Ben. Went through this with my grandmother before she finally passed last year. The last time I got to see her was a "good" day, but she didn't remember me at all. Hang in there, do what you need to do. We'll all be here for you.

Your strength and perseverance is amazing and an example for all of us. Take care of yourself and your family. We’ll be here whenever the time is right for you.

Ben, I went through the same with this with my Dad, and I know it's rough. Feel free to focus on yourself and your family at this point - definitely look into hospice, we got most of it covered through medicare, but yes it does take time.

I know this is hard to go through. Dimentia is a horrible way to leave this Earth, stripping you of everything that makes you you. If Archive goes on hiatus, so be it. Family always come first. Just try to hold on and try to keep your sanity. We will be here when, or if, you come back. All I know is it changes you. You ever need to let off steam, you know my email.

Ben, I greatly respect your fortitude and dedication in looking after your family. I am so sorry to hear of this. Don't stress about OA; we're here for you. Sending a virtual hug your way.

What a horrible thing to have to go through. I'm so sorry.

As always, sorry to hear this. But you will never regret doing the right thing for your loved ones, even if it is hard. My highest hopes that you continue to find the strength to bear this. Sympathies for your mother. Also word to her, too.
