Progress Update 31/08/23
Added 2023-08-31 14:22:17 +0000 UTCJust dropping a quick progress report as August comes to a close. At the moment I'm just cracking on with writing. I like to get it done before I start generating the images. Once I move on to image generation I pick the ones I like and then it's sometimes necessary to go back and edit the writing to line up a bit more with the images.
Working with the AI feels weirdly collaborative this way, how its output actually ends up changing some of my writing. They're very minor adjustments but I prefer trying to get it to do what I want over making something with it and using that as the jumping off point. That feels like a valid way to do things but not what what I intended for this project.
Getting the images as close as possible to what I imagine can feel like herding cats. You definitely start to see the limitations of the AI and begin to develop interesting little tricks to get it to do what you want. It's a really fascinating piece of technology.
