Before I recap how AMAZINGGGGG the ATEEZ concert was (literally couldn't have asked for a better concert experience) ... I want to drop the second half of our random play for you. Got some old favs and also some new 5th gen boy bands. We actually really liked the two new groups! The others were pretty interesting and gave us some talking point. We would love to hear your thoughts on some of the things discussed!!
That's it for now. I'm going to go enjoy a little bit of DC while I'm here before IU tonight.

Their music has a very 90's nostalgic sound and I just love their voices. As crazy as the ride has been with MHJ vs HYBE and the hot mess that all of is ... the art direction is SO CRAZY GOOD I love everything about it. But I'm always like wtf is with this randomness thrown in. I'm like, seriously tho what is this about?! I guess we'll never know after Sept 25th!! Lmk when you want to go get more KBBQ and we can talk circles around all that!! Wait - the space they had set for Newjeans at the Grammy Museum wasn't to her liking?! I went to that exhibit!! I'm pretty sure I know what room they'd be in - if she turned that down, that's MAD INSANE. BTS had the first section of the exhibit, rightly so. The next room was all the big bands sharing the space - SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, LESSERAFIM, TXT. I'm pretty sure NJ would have been in that room too if they had said yes. The last section was everyone else who were newish to the game - ILLIT, Boy Next Door, Katseye, TWS, etc. So the fact that she said no to that, crazy sauce. Re: RIIZE - we're really liking them! Out of all the 5th gen bads, they're pretty high up. Re: Red Velvet - yeah, for some reason their songs have a dark side! interesting angle. Re: Lisa - I agree. Rockstar wasn't my favorite. Allison really liked it but it wasn't for me. I personally really lke New Woman but I think a lot of it was the art direction in it along with the song. I think after everything is said and done with all the bands we've taken in. I can confidently say that LE SSERAFIM is my favorite. I just really like them a lot.

Now to the reactions, I also enjoy New Jeans music very much, I mean Attention to me was so good!!! I recently found a lot of the music was already ready to go when she took over so the sound was pretty much established, but I agree that this video I had absolutely no idea what was happening. Their storylines have been pretty intriguing since Ditto, and have depth that I usually am able to follow but this one threw me off. I do know that the bunny(aka backup dancer) is partly used so that the choreo can be achieved with 5 since the maknae was injured and could not dance. Until she recently came back for the Japan appearances the bunny was used for their stages. Aside from that...no clue! As far as Miss Min there is so much I could say about her and Hybe but I'll save that for another day (too much to type) but I do agree that her not doing the exhibition was a selfish move, apparently the space provided for NJ part of it was not to her liking. I think ego should have been put aside and let the girls have their place in history. She definitely dropped the ball on that one. Really enjoy Riize(#OT7) I have actually added a few of their songs to the playlist. RV is one of the few girl groups I listen to, I enjoy the B-sides over their comeback releases, they tend to lean to the velvet side of RV which is their R&B side, I also enjoy the vocals most on those tracks, they are really good singers, and have such beautiful harmonies. But yes they do have very dark/creepy concepts (this is not the first). Unfortunately not so sure about TWS just yet, very cute though. I am enjoying NCT WISH and BoyNExtDoor (Aside from Riize) a bit more for 5th gen. As far as Lisa, I am sorry but I don't like the song, nor have I liked her previous solos, though I do think she is an amazing dancer and a great performer.

They share the same producing team as Ateez and Hongjoong also helps with writing and producing their songs. The are described as Ateez's angsty little brothers lol I don't know if you are familiar with iKon but one of xikers rappers is basically a replica of Bobby.

2024-07-28 19:21:28 +0000 UTCHonestly tho ... she got some issues!! I tried to be tactful about how I say things sometimes (especially since it's on camera) but wow - it's a lot to take in. I feel bad for the girls honestly. Jimin was great. I still really like NJ music but I wasn't really into Lisa's song. The visuals for the Red Velvet video was giving me weird cult-y vibes and I could've totally gone without that. Really liked Riize though - they're were great.

I am really liking Riize and their song Siren is really good and gets stuck in my head whenever I hear it. Another newish group you may like is Xikers. They are the hoobaes to Ateez.
