Hope you're having a good day so far! Just wanted to drop this reaction vid for you ... it's a little different from all the other music related stuff. It's moreso art/film/production type reaction. Something that's totally up our alley as art directors. So I thought it'd be a good one to share with the sampler tier.

So we have one more reaction with Yousra but I'm skipping the line a little here with a bit of ENHYPEN concept trailers. I know it's a little different from what you're used to from us. But we've been requested to do more film / art direction / behind-the-scenes type of reactions and so with us finishing up the ENHYPEN Album Listening Party soon and **SPOILER ALERT** going to see them in concert in April - it's fitting to do these two trailers now.
Plus, you know. We love ENHYPEN. And we love vampires. And we love art. So yeah, here we go.
Obvi - they look STUNNING. The art direction! The cinematography! Even the stunt choreo with the fight scenes!
Very Wes Anderson-ish with the style of shooting and editing. And I'm actually really impressed with Sunghoon's acting. And yo, I did not know I needed Jungwon on a motorcycle but there it is and I'm cool with that.
And well, running into Jay like that. I'm also ok with.
But the sound design with the wooshing! Everytime a members showed up. Or that weird stacking thing they did.
And the soundtrack. Very whimsical and at times ethereal.
All these things come together to tell a story. To fill in the gaps to the lore. Which I kind of feel like we're coming at in the middle of their storyline. Like what is going on?!
Anyways, we don't exactly do a full breakdown. We just kind of take it in. Maybe thoughts come after processing it more ... but yeah. We just kind of wanted to do this since we're both art directors.
Allison is more of a film director / story teller. And I'm more of a producer / visual designer.
She has won awards for her short film, CHEMISTRY. (Watch it if you haven't yet!). And my background is in fashion photography, so that's why I'm always mindful of location / hair & makeup / wardrobe.
So that's where we're always speaking from. If you've ever wondered!

Oh god, I'm sooooo late but I hope you guys can see this lol. The letter Sooha wrote to Sunghoon said the following: "Dear Sunghoon, I hope you can forgive me, that I have no memories of our time together anymore. But please don't doubt me. That would make me very sad... You have to help me bring all of our comrades (friends) to the Black Sea back to life on the next full moon. Only then we can be happy forever. Sunghoon... I hope you can trust me. Your Sooha" The actress is the same for both concept trailers in the 'Blood Series', Jiwon is a model but worked with the guys for this. Let me give you guys a tiny bit of context lol. So I'm not sure if you guys remember but in Drunk-Dazed where the guys are in prince like outfits and were looking upon a girl in an altar and she spilled blood? So, that's the origin of these vampires. An ancient Kingdom where Selen, the princess and her 7 knights lived. Selen was sick and to heal, she was given the blood of Vargr, a Wolf Gold. There was a Chancellor in the Ancient Kingdom who wanted to take the crown and make the princess his. He took the leftover blood from Vargr and became an incomplete (lower tier) vampire instead of a Vampire Lord like Selen. However he turnsd hundreds of citizens into rogue vampires and tried to take over the kingdom. In order to protect the Kingdom, the Queen sealed a part of Selen's powers inside the Blood Altar, which she could later obtain once she ascends to the throne, the Queen also transfused Selen's blood onto her 7 Knights (Enhypen) and her tutor in order to create new Vampire Lords and protect the Kingdom. Before the Queen could explain how to perform the ascension ceremony, Dardan barged in and attacked them and injured the knights greatly. While protecting Heli (Heeseung), Selen got in between Dardan's sword and Heli, and got fatally injured. With her last bit of life power she shared her powers with the Knights and teleported them to a distant future. The boys reincarnate without their memories in the 1800's and live in a Orphanage (Given-Taken) where their powers are subdued (the pills you see them take) and their fangs are being taken out (you can see them checking their mouths for fangs and they have a jar full of them in one of the tables. They later escape the Orphanage (Tamed-Dashed, Tamed-Dashed Japanese Version and one of the scenes from the Fatal trouble MV) and take shelter at school (Decals Academy) several centuries later, presumably almost our current world time. They meet Sooha which they later find out is a reincarnation of Selen. Dardan finds them and injures them, also kidnaps Sooha (Future Perfect MV) to take her powers and become a complete vampire lord. Now onto the Dark Blood trailer: Sooha is sad because she is conflicted on carrying on with her mission, her destiny. In order to retrieve her powers, she has to bite the guys and have them become mortals. While the Enhypen members are willing to do it, Sunghoon isn't and which is why he's hiding Sooha. "If you wish to escape from this twisted fate, remember these two words 'Bite Me'". The guys here acts as horocruxes and for every member Sunghoon "defeats", another one comes out. He fades at the end because he was the last one and by then, extremely weak. Sooha freed them from their immortality. Orange Blood: them being reborns (again) as mere mortals and enjoying the simple things in life like water (vampires can at times die in the water), normal food and getting hurt and actually feeling it. Sunghoon was waiting for them ont the shore and he was the only one who wasn't wet. And Sunoo thinks he sees Sooha in the water and then they later all spend time with her as mortals. We later find out Sooha is trapped inside the house (she's wearing the same clothes as in the Dark Blood trailer) and there's the girl who they've been spending time with outside being all creepy and capturing Sunoo and biting him. In the last chapter of one of the Webtoons (Enhypen has a Webtoon series if you guys don't know huhu), Sooha and Selen met each other and it felt.... off. Kind of like Selen was jealous of Sooha or that she was simply evil but yeah idk. In the letter Sunghoon received (the one showed in the credits), It was written in German and while it said it was from Sooha, we believe it was Selene, pretending to be Sooha to lure them to the Black Sea and do something weird to them. So yeah, that's kind of it I think?? as summarized as possible ish. There's of course a lloooooot of other things but that's kinda the gist of it all.

Well, Ryan (the male lead) wrote the initial script but Allison punched it up. Allison's ex was actually the cinematographer on that and they worked on that together for quite some time. I'll let her know your thoughts!

I too was blown away by Sunghoon's acting, I believe he won some type of award for his performance as well. Forgive me because I do not remember which award but it was well deserved. For the Orange Blood trailer, Sunoo was amazing also, it really makes me want to read their webtoon but I know I don't even have the time(this is why it needs to be a series on Netflix or something)...maybe one day. Anyways slay you talented, artistic, Queens! Due to your talents it is great to hear your perspectives when you react, this is one of the reasons why I enjoyed watching you on youtube and decided to join Patreon.
