Hope you’re having a great day so far. Just wanted to drop this little BLACKPINK Carpool Karaoke for you all. I had to do some major audio editing on this one bc Allison and I were a little unhinged and we belted along with a lot of it.
And she’s a classically trained singer … I am not. So I apologize in advance for the sing-along aspect of this.
But isn’t that what carpool karaokes are for?
Anyways - we had a lot of fun reacting to this one. Watching Jisoo try to krump is hilarious. And idk who’s idea it was to have Rosie clap a million times in a minute but that was also golden.

I am not a BP fan, but agree, fanwars over such nonsense are ridiculous. I love many groups, and I never wish ill on any artist/group/band. Artists have it hard enough, creating ill will or spreading hate makes no sense to me.

2023-05-05 15:19:25 +0000 UTCReally?! The fandom wars are so crazy sometimes. I seriously had to do damage control on our recent reaction where our neighbor boys said they liked BP more BTS. Some viewers were so personally offended by their off-hand comment, it was kind of intense! Luckily I’m not planning to post this on YouTube (CBS blocked it anyways) so it’s just for us. Both bands are incredibly talented and are doing groundbreaking things. It’s just sometimes we don’t do all our fact-checking in preproduction (I would know having run this channel!). There’s grace in learning and there’s grace in correcting. Fan wars are just not necessary when everyone is making great music. I would count that as a win for everyone. People just need to calm down and have a good time ☺️☺️

2023-05-05 01:01:57 +0000 UTCThere was a brief BLINK ARMY fanwar over this video. I thought it was ridiculous and knew it was an error on the production team's part. I was surprised that James didn't catch it as he is well aware of BTS achievements and the SUBTITLES were correct, but James' team had to tweet an apology following this content. "Sooooo we made a mistake in our BLACKPINK Carpool Karaoke last night. We wrongly gave James a card to read that said BLACKPINK were the first K-POP group to land at #1 on the US album charts when that honor belongs to BTS. BLACKPINK were, of course, the first female K-POP group to accomplish this feat. So sorry for the mixup. We love both of these incredible groups and their fans!" That was the content of the tweet. It would have been awkward for BP to correct the host (and culturally inappropriate for many), but I am sure they were aware of the mistake at the time as well. In any case, Blinks and ARMY beefed over it on twitter a bit. IMO, people are fallible and not every mistake is meant as a dig or slight. I applaud both groups for their accomplishments. Just in case you get some rawr comments if you choose to ever post this to Youtube.
