What makes a Pokemon a Pokemon is the ability to (magically??) shrink down into a Pokeball. I dont think Kirby is a Pokemon but he may be like an evolutionary precursor to Pokemon

Ussop!

mrezman

yeah i'm going to need a lot more sexualization of the smash brothers roster. you didn't once bring up anyone from star fox and there has to be a reason

Aaron Davidson

Good to know I’ve been using smarmy wrong for years

Dakota Shank

Was the gold coins a reference the Detectorists series? and if not people should check it out.

Mark

Yes thank you. Validation. Also to everyone else, i promise this isn’t me, Nick, on a burner account even though the name Nikolaus Cox is suspiciously similar to mine. -Nick

Nick Kocher

This episode was unhinged and I loved it 😂

Cameron Jones

I can back up Nick’s claim that secrets are likely to be wood-based. As an archaeologist we often deal with stone, ceramic, and metal, because these materials survive the longest; but that doesn’t mean former peoples didn’t use wood. In fact, it’s likely they used wood MORE than stone, metal, ceramic, or any non-perishable material. Finding wooden artefacts is always very exciting due to their rarity, as they usually rot away. On Manhattan, however, if we’re dealing with colonial period archaeology, there’s a greater chance for wood to preserve because it is a more recent period. Not only are you likely to find wooden ‘secrets’ on Manhattan, but due to the general rarity of wood-based archaeological pieces, they will be valuable!

The doodle of a peeking man is called a Kilroy. It's a WW2 era meme funnily enough.

Joshua Kerner

Thank you, finally, some respect

Nick Kocher

Smarmy is absolutely a correct word, unfair editor correction!

George Lawie

Three guys talking about doodles and metal detectors over footage of Smash Bros., what is this my sophomore year of high school?

Lauren R

You know, I think Bob Bus music is exactly what the podcast has been missing so far.

Cjnchimaera

Correction: I said it sucks AND is bad

Nick Kocher

I'm digging the doodles

Alex Fryer

Nick saying Super Smash Bros. sucks and not using the hot take cam is a bold statement itself.

Nate B.

As a parent I can't confirm or deny that big parent exists.

Stein-Arne Hedberg

Feels like all of these questions about Super Smash Bros were answered in the There Will Be a Brawl webseries.

Yash Kapoor

Kirby knows how you taste. Everyone has been inside Kirby.
