I built a discord bot!

The master plan for Chaos League I described in my previous post is slowly coming together. Before, the method for storing player customization was a shoddy patchwork of local files on my PC. It was confusing for me to work with, and there was no way for anyone besides me to access it. Not any more! With the Chaos Bot, you can interact directly with the database. Everything is running 24/7 in the cloud (I love it so much, hopefully you do too), and I'm nerding out about it. The Chaos Bot can do all the customizations you could do on the website, plus more.

Just type '/help' into the chaos_bot text channel to view the command options.

We are now one step closer to an interactive Chaos League livestream game! Thanks to everyone in the discord who has been pointing out bugs. I've fixed everything pointed out to me so far, but there could still be more. Let me know if you find one, or just have a suggestion on how the bot could be improved.

To address a few growing pains:

1. The new database is indexed on your discord ID, rather than patreon ID. If you have not already linked your discord to your patreon account, your previously earned lifetime points are disconnected. Thankfully, it is an easy fix, just send me a DM with your discord username and number (i.e. doodlechaos#3905) and I can reconnect your profile easily.

2. Unfortunately, I do not have the php/js skills to connect the existing website to the database at this time. I could learn how, but that will take me a long time, and I'm assuming you would all prefer I prioritize my time on making content for the Chaos League. I will be modifying the doodlechaos.com site to direct users to the discord bot for customization instead. The downside of this is that people who don't have a discord account will have to make one if they want to customize, but I think that tradeoff is worth it for all the benefits the bot brings.

TLDR: You don't have to do anything, but if you want to make a customization, use the Discord Bot!
