2023-11-01 06:33:33 +0000 UTCAs far as I know, monsters can neither enter nor exit lairs by themselves. The only known exception to that rule seems to be Tamers taking their pets into lairs or taming one inside a lair and bringing it out. With that being said, lairs do seem to change the ambient mana and essence around them. An example would be the Sparkscale Deeps, where the hababas used to rule, until the arcane lair appeared and made the sparkscales spawn, forcing the hababas and their named royal blue to escape to the Ashen Jungle.

Makes me wonder; can you dig out a Delving and have the main access point be inside another Dungeon? Like, you have a big stone tube with the opening inside the Breathless Wasteland and it turns downwards as soon as it exits. It seems like it might be a decent way to avoid monsters and essence spilling into the surroundings when you open up a borehole to the Depths... Have they done any research on how Lairs interact with outside monsters, btw? If you throw a monster into a lair, what happens to it?

Which is why she's reading those notes from Tallheart, because she also has those skills as she does so. Crafters + Unity = OP. So how's Tallheart's soul? While we know that Rain knows how to fix a ruptured paling, and thus so does Tallheart, what we don't know is if Tallheart has made any headway on doing so. I doubt he's fixed it yet, but the topic seems conspicuously absent.
