Comic Report #128.4 - FISH

Okay so, you see, I had an opportunity to schedule my vaccine updates for today, including the new Covid booster, so I got, three vaccines at once, at the pharmacy's recommendation. I'm doing the right thing, you know? But afterwards I realized, oh no. I haven't finished this comic page yet! So I'm all vaxxed up and now I'm a ticking timebomb before that Covid booster hits, so I'm trying to get this squared away as quick as possible before I crash. I think I made it, it's just text left to do. But anyways, I'm always like "I'm gonna keep this quick," but today I'm gonna also say that, but for a different reason.
This was definitely one of those pages that really comes together in the 11th hour. I wasn't feeling super hot on it going into it, but with all the drifting snow and all the details and lighting in place, I do really like how this one came out. That second paragraph row of panels, with the diagonals, the up/down/up camera angles alternating between the snowy ground and the dark sky made those shots really pop. I hadn't planned for that to happen but it worked out really nicely, all the panel divides are really clear. And then the divide between the penultimate and the final panels with that dark sky under the snowy ground? It all just came together in the end.
So, I'm not sure what I'm gonna have ready for Saturday if this is going up tonight, and then tomorrow I'm knocked out on the vaccine sauce, but I'll try to get something. As I've mentioned before, with Kitsune Tails art tasks off my plate I'm gonna try to hack out the next few pages quicker than normal so I can keep a rhythm going. I don't know if I said outright yet but you can possibly tell where I'm going with this setup, so this Patreon should be fun moving towards the end of the year. Thanks for sticking with me!
