UPDATE - Posting Changes

First off, I'm going to pause posting Birthright this week(end). My mind is racing with too much, and I can't focus properly—sorry!

An update about some upcoming changes. I contemplated creating a poll for this, but I've already decided on the direction I want to take.

As many of you know, I'm an aspiring author with delusional dreams of grandeur toward publishing. I embarked on this Patreon writing journey just over a year ago. Throughout this time, I've been experimenting to find the right balance through trial and error—lots of errors, LOTS. As a result, I'm considering another shift in my approach.

I previously started releasing one chapter per week for each of my two ongoing series, aiming for a loose Friday – Sunday release. This was based on my preference for longer chapters over several shorter ones throughout the week. However, achieving that 5K word count goal consistently has been challenging, with chapters being around the 4K mark. Despite my own preference for longer chapters as a reader, the practicality of drafting shorter chapters throughout the week has become evident, especially with my horrible outlining skills. Yep, it seems to me, this would be a more feasible approach for my chaotic writing and posting habits.

This adjustment would lead to more frequent posts for both Blake and Birth, albeit in smaller chunks, and cover various drafts. I'm also hoping it will increase my visibility on platforms like RR and SH, with the aim of growing Patreon. Currently, I may gain one or two new followers every other week, but also lose one or two in the same timeframe. To be honest, I've been maintaining a steady count of around 15 patrons at any given time. Though, if the goal is to turn this passion into a career and move beyond relying on my savings, I feel the need to experiment with different approaches. Thankfully, I have that savings to fall back on, or I'd be in trouble—the perks of pursuing my dream during a midlife crisis. LOL

You might come across new material from "Blake Pudding Book 3" one day and revisions from books 1 or 2 the next, along with snippets from "Birthright" and other ideas that occur to me—I still need to go back and fix Cyberization at some point. Yep, nothing is considered complete, until I publish it, so everything and anything is subject to extensive editing and rewriting. Ideally, I'd offer a structured posting schedule with set days for each project, but let's face it—I tend to be disorganized in my approach. Blake's insanity didn't come from nowhere—the joys of being a crazy combat vet.

So, to reiterate, the plan is to provide multiple posts weekly from both Blake and Birthright, balancing them while also sharing updates on revisions of earlier works. This means I'll move from quietly working on projects behind the scenes to treating everything more like an open draft, sharing updates and changes directly with you all.

Also, I love posting MidJourney AI artwork with chapters, but finding ones that fit with Birthright has been challenging for some reason. I'll keep trying to coax that stubborn software into giving me something I like, but it seems to favor more chaotic art, which works wonderfully for Blake. I'm probably just using it wrong. Tee-hee!

I can't express my gratitude enough for your support. Even when the follower count on this site dips into single digits, having just one of you around motivates me to continue writing. That support means everything to me.

Sincerely,
