Instructions for Linking Your Itch.io Account to Patreon and downloading the projects
Added 2024-12-16 23:15:26 +0000 UTCTo access all exclusive projects released on our Itch.io page, you’ll need to link your Itch.io account to your Patreon account. Please remember only the "Contributor" level tier gains access to testing projects and downloads. Please follow these steps to get started:
Create an Itch.io Account (if you don’t have one):
Visit itch.io and sign up for a free account.Log in to Patreon:
Make sure you're logged into your Patreon account that is subscribed to DR Modding.Connect Your Itch.io Account:
Sign in to your itch.io account and click on the down arrow next to your account name followed by “Settings”.
On the settings page scroll down and click on “Connected Accounts”
Click on the red “Connect with Patreon” button.
On the next page click the blue “Allow” button.
You are now connected!
Access Exclusive Projects:
Once linked, you’ll automatically gain access to the exclusive content on DR Modding’s Itch.io page, based on your membership tier. You may still need to follow specific links shared on the Patreon page. Tester project links almost always end with “Patreon-Access”
** The most common issue with connecting itch.io and Patreon comes in the form of an error after clicking “Allow”. If an error occurs, repeat the steps and it will eventually connect. This is a known error with itch.io but I have yet to find someone that can’t get through it with repeating the steps. Sometimes it takes one re-try, others it takes several. But it always eventually works. Please try this before reaching out to me.
