This kind of reminds of the “friend” who gaslit me and emotionally abused me and when my real friends finally got it through my head that this person was the problem, not me, I cut them out. The toxic person tried to reconcile so many times but I ignored them and they even lashed out but I kept ignoring and I finally heard nothing. It’s amazing how much of a weight a toxic person can put on a heart/mind and the freedom one experiences when it’s taken away for good.
