Omg. I’m going back through podcasts to listen to them. I love so close to Wheeling! Did you stay at wheeling island? 🌴 A dead mall you could do is in Steubenville, Oh!!! That mall is so dead! It’s not horribly far from Wheeling!

Anyway, your attitude to visiting tourist attractions really struck a nerve with me as I am exactly the same way and I find it super obnoxious that so many places either force or strongly encourage you to go on a group tour when you just know you'd get so much more out of the visit if you were left alone to do your own thing.

2018-07-08 12:44:57 +0000 UTCThanks for visiting my hometown and speaking so highly of it. I grew up just north of Wheeling, but went to high school there. It is an incredibly depressed place, even compared to 20 years ago. I spent many an hour at the casino and dog track, my father worked there for many years! I don't have family there anymore, and only 1-2 friends still living there but I still find myself going back 1-2 times a year just to spend a few days and enjoy the atmosphere. There's an effort to revitalize the downtown area, I really hope things start to turn around. I really look forward to seeing your video and polaroids!

I love exploring and seeing new things. You are doing it right Dan. If one invests the time and money to travel at least go and explore the place you are going too. Life is only so long and we spend a lot of it just sitting around at home so... As for smoking, I can relate to that too, unfortunately :(
