Harry Potter and the Monster Books Part 9

Sage Potter scowled when she saw Vinny's face in the mirror along with his two bodyguards standing just outside of the dressing room she was using. "What do you want?"

"I want to fuck you like an animal on the Discovery channel," Vinny replied with a smirk, enjoying the view of the naked girl that his master was trying to acquire.

"Request denied, get out," Sage ordered as she worked on removing her makeup, rather annoyed that the magical contract she'd signed prevented her from killing the slimy bastard because his boss had a deal with her 'manager'.

"No can do, toots, the boss wants to see you," Vinny replied with a smirk.

"Last I checked, I don't work for Mr. Winston, so I don't really care if he wants to see me," Sage replied as she finished removing her sparkly blue eye shadow.

"Yeah? I don't really care if you don't want to see the boss. Theo, do you care if she doesn't want to see the boss?"

"No," Theo replied with a grin.

"What about you Ralph?" Vinny asked.

"No, but I'm hoping she resists so I can spank her, I like spanking bitches," Ralph replied with a leer.

"My set is done and I've got about ten minutes to finish getting dressed and across the street for the new Star Wars movie, are you seriously telling me that your boss can't wait until the weekend to make another pitch that I'm just going to turn down?" Sage asked with annoyance as she pulled a clean pair of pink panties on.

"Mr. Winston doesn't like waiting, are you going to come with us or do we have to get difficult?" Vinny asked with a smirk.

"I like difficult, I'm going to enjoy-" whatever else Ralph had been about to say was lost as his head fell off his neck.

Harry hacked the other thug's head off before anyone realized the first thug was dead then smiled at Vinny, who’d unfortunately had noticed him before he’d had a chance to go three for three. "The lady told you to fuck off, I suggest following her advice."

Vinny conjured a ball of fire in his hand as he spun to glare at the dark haired teenager that was standing in the hallway holding a bloody sword. "Do you have a death wish?" he demanded.

"Probably," Harry admitted after considering the question for a couple of seconds.

Vinny glanced at the red haired girl in a mostly sheer green dress that was standing next to the young man holding a wand then focused on the man holding the sword. "Probably?"

"My job isn't exactly the safest job around and I don't need money anymore, so yeah, probably," Harry offered honestly.

"What do you do for a living?" Sage asked as she pulled her skirt on.

"I hunt Dark Lords for a living," Harry replied with a grin.

"Valkore was the fifth?" Ginny asked thoughtfully.

"Sixth, unless you count a couple of the idiots…" Harry trailed off as Vinny went translucent for a second before completely vanishing. "Was it something I said?" he asked as he swung his sword through the air where the man had been standing.

"He's going to tell his boss that you killed his thugs," Sage warned him.

Harry turned his attention to his sister, doing his best not to stare since she looked even better without her stage makeup. "Considering we're here to rescue you, it was going to happen anyway."

Sage raised her eyebrows. "You're here to rescue me?"

"Lily and James Potter were my parents in an alternate reality so you're sort of like my sister."

Sage stared when she noticed that he had a half remembered lightning bolt scar on his forehead. "Does that mean you're the Boy-That-Lived in your world?"

"Unfortunately," Harry agreed. "Voldemort was actually the second Dark Lord I killed."

"How did you kill him?" Sage asked, having learned about the Dark Lord in her magic lessons with her manager. 'Damn shame that he's related, he's hot and good with a blade.'

"I shot him in the back of the head with a forty five while he was ranting about the fact that I'd been killing his minions for a couple of weeks in a cowardly way," Harry explained.

"Forty five?" Ginny asked as Sage grabbed her t-shirt from the table.

"It's a type of firearm," Harry explained as he glanced around the small dressing room, wondering where she'd put her dress.

Sage pulled her t-shirt on. "Let's assume for a second that you're not a shape changing demon or warlock, how are you planning on killing Mr. Winston? He's immune to mundane weapons and he's highly magic resistant," she warned him.

"I've found that stabbing people with enchanted swords generally does the trick but if that's not enough, is he immune to poison?"

Sage grabbed her socks and started pulling them on. "Probably. He drinks like a fish and he's been in charge of one of the most influential clubs in Vegas for eighty years, if he wasn't immune to poison someone would have killed him years ago."

"What about sneaking her out the back?" Ginny asked thoughtfully.

"I'm willing to make the attempt, I have a movie to catch," Sage said as she slipped her shoes on.

"You have someone trying to kidnap you and you're worried about a movie?" Ginny asked in disbelief.

"It's Star Wars," Sage replied as if that explained everything.

"Which one?" Harry asked.

"It's the first prequel, we get to see what Anakin Skywalker was like as a child. It's going to be awesome!" Sage said enthusiastically as she tied her shoes.

"How long do we have until the movie starts?" Harry asked.

Sage glanced at the cheap digital clock on the makeup stand. "With the ads and previews, probably twenty minutes."

Harry turned to look at the exit door at the end of the hallway. "Plenty of time…" he trailed off as five 'people' appeared in the hallway in a burst of flame. He glanced at the three large men wearing cheap suits that matched the thugs he'd killed then turned his attention to the attractive woman that looked to be in her mid thirties. 'Damn, she looks even better in person. Get your head in the game and don't make any deals.'

Harry pulled his attention off the warlock and focused on the large dark haired man that was wearing a mask that covered half of his face and a suit that probably cost as much as a new car. "Let me guess, you're Mr. Winston?"

Mr. Winston glared at the black haired teenager holding a sword. "And you're the so-called Dark Lord hunter that killed two of my boys."

"They were being rude," Harry replied as he started walking toward the group. "I'll give you one chance, walk away or I'm going to cut your head off."

"Too late for that, he owns her contract," the warlock offered, sounding entirely too cheerful about the situation for anyone's comfort.

Mr. Winston turned to glare at the warlock, wondering why she sounded cheerful since she'd been rather reluctant to part with the girl's contract.

"Maxie?" Sage asked when she peeked her head out and noticed her manager standing in the hallway, the woman that had practically raised her since she was nine.

"Sorry kid, you were fantastic and you certainly brought in the money but the blood contract I used had a rather nasty clause and he offered me an extremely rare grimoire. I'll always love you and you'll do great, knock them dead," Maxie told Sage then blew her a kiss and teleported out of the pocket dimension, not wanting anything to do with the upcoming fight.

"Doesn't change anything," Mr. Winston muttered. "You're mine."

"Go fuck yourself…" Harry trailed off as Mr. Winston summoned a ball of fire and promptly burst into flame and started screaming and writhing on the floor in agony when he tried to toss it at Harry.

"Kill him!" one of the goons shouted as he pulled a dagger out of his pocket and charged Harry.

"Fuck!" one of the goons said and teleported out, wanting nothing to do with someone that could take the boss out without any visible effort.

Harry easily cut the goon's hand off that was holding the dagger then cut him in half diagonally. He tossed his sword, impaling the other guard then summoned his sword back to his hand. He stalked over to the man that was writhing on the floor in agony and cut his head off, wanting to make sure he was dead.

"What the fuck was that?" Ginny asked, trying to make sense of why Mr. Winston had set himself on fire.

Sage smiled as she watched her contract burn, wondering how long Moxie had been planning on screwing Mr. Winston over. "Always read the fine print when it comes to contracts, especially magical contracts. The Dursleys made sure to include a clause in the magical contract to keep them safe from my manager when they sold me. Moxie made sure the clause referred to the owner of the contract and my family, rather than specifically naming them."

"Which triggered the clause, because Harry is family?" Ginny asked.

"Yep," Sage agreed as Mr. Winston's body turned to ash, leaving his signet ring and his mask. "We should probably loot his vault before the rest of the demons get it."

"What about the movie?" Ginny asked.

"There's a midnight screening," Sage replied with a grin as she headed down the hallway toward the stairs that led to the basement where the vault was with a spring in her steps.

"Have you considered letting her rest?" Albus asked warily as he stared at the ancient scrolls that might just be powerful enough to bring back the dead.

Sirius shivered as the temperature in the drawing room seemed to drop twenty degrees in an instant as Harry and Rose glared at Dumbledore, fairly sure the old man was one wrong word away from Harry unleashing Hell and doing something he might regret when he calmed down. "He's just asking if you considered the consequences."

Harry pulled his attention off Dumbledore and focused on Sirius. "The spell won't work if she doesn't want to come back and trying won't waste the scroll."

Albus sighed in relief that the spell wouldn't pull her out of her next adventure without her permission. "In that case, you might as well try."

"You can do this," Rose assured him.

"I'll try," Harry replied, doing his best to shove his anxiety and fears into a trunk in his mind so that he could focus on his mother.

"As Yoda would say, 'Do or do not. There is no try," Titania offered.

"You can do it," Hermione assured him.

"Give me a minute of quiet," Harry told the group as he mentally read the incantation one last time. 'Why is it always Latin?' He took a breath and started chanting the incantation, his tongue having a little bit of trouble pronouncing all of the words despite his mental practice. "I call my mother, Lily Anne Potter back from the grave, let her be reborn!" he shouted, finishing the spell and causing the scroll to turn to ash.

Sirius jumped when a tall, busty and naked young woman with crimson hair appeared in front of Harry that looked exactly like Lily, if you ignored a couple of important details, like the fact that she had pointy ears, was a couple of inches over six feet and looked like someone had turned her into a giant smurf as she skin was a pale blue.

"Sirius," Lily replied with a grin as she stepped forward and pulled a stunned Harry and Rose into a hug, ignoring the fact that she was naked. "You got big."

"I'm short," Harry complained, glad that he was sort of squished into Rose rather than his mother's breasts as she didn't seem to care about the fact that she was naked.

"And you were a toddler the last time I got to hug you, which means you got big," Lily argued.

"Why are you blue?" Tonks asked.

"I'm a dark elf," Lily replied with a grin. "Dragon wasn't on the list so I grabbed the next best thing."

Titania frowned, wondering if she picked up some of the Dark Elves' less stellar personality traits.

"The list?" Sirius asked.

Lily turned her head to look at Sirius. "The scrolls were set up to give the people they're bringing back a list of options so that they don't get depressed and whiny about what they come back as."

"And you picked a giant smurf?" Rose asked.

Lily laughed as she let her children go. "They get magic resistance, a boost to intelligence and they're ageless, it's a pretty good deal."

"Are you still Lily?" Albus asked.

"Mostly," Lily replied with a shrug then stepped forward and decked Albus before he could react, sending him crashing to the floor. She glared at her old headmaster, years of rage bubbling to the surface. "You should have told my sister that you'd fucking murder her whale of a husband if he laid a bloody hand on Harry!"

"Are you okay?" Tonks asked Albus.

"I deserved that," Albus admitted after rubbing his jaw, not bothering to get up as he didn't want to give Lily a reason to hit him a second time, despite the fact that he certainly deserved it.

"Did the spell go wrong?" Tonks asked warily.

"No, Lily always had a wicked temper and tongue when you pushed her far enough," Sirius offered with a wide smile and watery eyes, thinking back to the various times that Lily had told him off for various pranks that had gone too far.

"You generally deserved it," Remus pointed out.

"Don't start Remus," Lily told him. "It's nice to see you and I'm glad that you're still alive but you're on my shit list, you had over a decade to introduce yourself to Harry and you didn't. At least Sirius had the excuse of being locked up."

"I was told that the wards needed time to stabilize," Remus admitted, knowing that wasn't enough of an excuse but that was the only one he had.

Lily turned and glared at Albus. "Why would you tell him that?"

Albus shifted so that he could at least sit up. "Despite my personal feelings on werewolves, they're cursed and the wards were barely enough to keep the dark magic in Harry's scar contained for the first couple of years. I wasn't sure how much it would take to tip things over the edge and having a wizard around would have caused Petunia to snap. If she'd kicked Harry out before his soul was strong enough to resist the magic the curse would have stolen his life."

"I could have died?" Harry asked.

"Or worse, Riddle could have taken over completely," Dumbledore explained. "The wards were barely functional but they were enough to keep you alive. I knew living with the Dursleys was going to be unpleasant but I'd hoped that they would merely be emotionally absent or abrasive. I can't change the past and I'm not asking that you forgive me, I'm just explaining."

Lily took a breath and released it, trying to calm down. "Fine, we can discuss this later, we have more important things to do, like bringing James back from the dead."

"Can we get back to the mostly you bit? Tonks's doppelganger asked as Albus got to his feet.

"I have some vague memories of growing up as a dark elf in the Kingdom of the Moon with a sister that was a warlock, she was a lot happier and she never met anyone like Vernon," Lily explained as she wandlessly conjured a robe and pulled it on so that Harry could stop looking at everything but her.

"Kingdom of the Moon?" Sirius asked.

"It's a kingdom of reasonably sane dark elves on another world that love magic." Lily glanced at the ancient scroll sitting on a stack of books. "How does the Resurrection scroll work?"

"Harry needs to write the name of five currently living enemies on the scroll along with the name of the person that he wants brought back from the dead," Hermione explained as Snape walked up to the door.

"Lily?!" Severus blurted out and froze when he walked into the room and saw Lily.

Lily turned and stared at her childhood friend and the red haired woman next to him that looked like an older version of her human self. "If you cloned me, I'm going to hex you on general principle."

Severus glanced around the room at the new people then focused on Lily. "I haven't cloned anyone in years."

The older Lily shook her head. "That's not as reassuring as you think."

"I needed to fake someone's death," Severus replied absently. "Why are you blue?"

"The magic had side effects, she'll probably have to make a cold suit…" Sirius trailed off as the original Tonks punched his shoulder. "Too soon?"

"Yes," Tonks replied, wondering how much worse he would have been without spending twelve years in Azkaban.

Lily glanced at the bandage on Severus' wrist. "Before I answer that, did you manage to get rid of the mark?"

"It was easier than I was expecting," Severus admitted. "The mark shut down once I jumped into the book and Lily helped me burn the remains off with acid after freezing it."

"How did you get a version of Lily to come with you?" Sirius asked as Ginny walked in with a taller copy of Harry, a purple haired girl that looked a bit like Tonks and Lily and a pair of red haired girls that looked like Lily, one of which had dark red hair and the other crimson.

"I was tired of dealing with corrupt Ministry flunkies that wanted to kidnap my daughter, there's only so much dirt in the back yard," the older Lily explained.

"That's what transfiguration is for," the Harry next to Ginny suggested.

Lily glanced between Harry and the other Harry then focused on her alternate. "What happened?"

"Draco tried to spike her drink with a love potion," the older Lily complained.

"And that's enough to get flunkies bothering you?" Sirius asked.

"No but it's a bit suspicious when he's found the next morning with a steak knife in his chest in the middle of the common room," Vivian grumbled.

"I swear you got the better version of Draco," Rose told Harry.

"Yeah," Harry agreed.

"We'll have to compare notes," the older Harry said.

Harry glanced between his alternate and Ginny, rather amused by her blush when she noticed him looking. 'Good on you.'

"Can we get some names for the new people?" Lily asked.

"Sage Potter, professional singer and Warlock by trade," Sage offered.

"Harry James Potter, former Boy-That-Lived and Dark Lord hunter but I'll probably go with Henry as I've been using that as a nickname for the last couple of years," the older Harry piped up.

"Trying to ditch the fame?" Harry asked.

Henry laughed. "Wouldn't you?"

"Yeah," Harry admitted.

"Heather Potter," the girl with dark red hair offered.

"Vivian Luna Black," the purple haired girl offered, causing most of the group to focus on her.

"Black?" Sirius asked.

"Hey Dad," Vivian replied with a smirk, fairly sure her father would approve of her messing with his alternate.

Sirius glanced at the other Lily. "Seriously?"

Lily scowled as she remembered the night that had cost her friend's life and forced one of her other friends to leave for America. "One of the Slytherins dosed our drinks with love potion back in seventh year, wanting to mess with James and put me in my place. I'll spare the children the details but I had a lot of fun with Sirius and James because of it. Sadly, Peter got a high enough dose that he went after a cat in his rat form, he didn't survive."

"Probably better considering he ended up selling us out in the war," Sirius admitted.

"Seriously?" the older Lily asked, shocked that her friend would betray them.

"Something went seriously wrong with his head," Sirius complained. "I think they threatened his parents or something, it never really made sense and I'm still not sure what happened."

Lily glanced at Sirius, remembering what he'd looked like as a teenager. 'I can see why she wasn't exactly traumatized.'

"How badly did James go off the rails?" Remus asked.

The older Lily shook her head. "We never had the chance, most of the people responsible died screaming as something consumed them from the inside."

"I can think of a couple of potions that would cause that," Severus mused aloud, a dark smirk on his face.

"The rest weren't that lucky, it took longer. I don't actually know if my Severus was responsible but he never joined the Death Eaters and left for America right after graduating. We kept in touch over the years but I never asked and he never mentioned it."

"Makes a certain amount of sense," Sirius mused, fairly sure Severus wouldn't have hesitated to kill a bunch of people if they'd drugged Lily and he found out about it. "What happened to James and Sirius?"

She sighed. "James died a couple of weeks before Vivian went to Hogwarts, someone shot him in his animagus form and Sirius got hit by a drunk driver while running around in his a couple of weeks later."

"That sucks," Sirius muttered, not actually surprised that they'd ended up dead since it was Severus' book.

"At least I got ten years with him," Heather offered, knowing that Harry hadn't got to know him since he'd died when he was a baby.

"None of that," Harry said as he opened the resurrection scroll. "What do you think would happen if we each signed part of James' name?"

Lily smiled. "One of the reapers mentioned that as an option with the scroll. You'd each need to sign part of his name and add an enemy."

"What are we thinking for enemies?" Heather Potter asked. "I don't want to heal your version of Voldemort."

"I wasn't going to put his name down," Harry assured her. "I was thinking about Draco, Snape, Dudley, Peter, and Dumbledore."

"Dumbledore?" Vivian asked in surprise.

"He stuck us with the Dursleys, I'm pretty damned sure that counts considering the scars I've got," Harry argued.

Albus winced, willing to admit that he should have tried harder to find a better solution or at least stepped in later once the dust had settled. 'I had too many jobs and projects in the air and never enough time to focus on anything.'

Rose shook her head. "I can't write Dudley's name, I actually like the bastard."

"Seriously?" Henry asked.

"He let me borrow his comics and gave me pocket change," Rose replied with a shrug, not seeing a point in mentioning that he'd also let her borrow his less horrible nudie magazines and play some of his video games when Vernon wasn't around.

Heather glanced at Snape. "I can't write Snape's name, he was never one of my teachers at Hogwarts."

"That's fair," Harry agreed, not looking at Snape.

"I'll write Draco's name," Vivian offered. "He tried to drug me."

"He tried to have me killed," Rose pointed out.

"And your Draco is better off dead," Harry told her. "I don't need that version overwriting our Draco, he's an annoying pounce he's not particularly homicidal."

"Not how it works for the enemies," Lily assured them.

"What about Ron?" Rose asked, surprised that he wasn't more bitter about the whole thing. "He stabbed you in the back over the tournament."

"And he finally apologized," Harry told her, still a little annoyed but fairly sure he wouldn't be able write Ron's name and have it stick. "We have five names, we'll be fine."

"I'll write Peter's name, he was a creepy rat," Rose said as she grabbed the pen and wrote her father's first name and Peter Pettigrew in one of the blanks for enemies.

Vivian took the pen next and wrote her father's middle name and Draco then handed the pen back to Harry.

Harry finished his father's name then filled in the rest of the slots for enemies and started chanting the incantation.

James Potter blinked a couple of times as he came back from the dead with a bit of a headache and a decent amount of extra memories. "It worked,” he said, surprised.

Snape twitched as all of his injuries vanished and he got a good fifteen years younger, putting him in the prime of his life.

Sirius felt like laughing as the years fell away from Dumbledore, leaving him a rather fit twenty year old man in purple robes.

Albus smiled as all of the pain vanished that he'd been dealing with for the last fifty years. "I could get used to this."
