Yeah I watched all 6 episodes as well. It has its moments but it's nowhere near as good as That Mitchell & Webb Look.

2025-09-18 11:39:54 +0000 UTCI watched all 6 episodes when it came out and my honest feeling, as a Mitchell & Webb fan for 15 or so years, was that it was a bit lazy. Their performances were good and Lara and Stevie were the two best new cast members but it needs A LOT of work if they get recommissioned for series 2. The Aussie swearing sketch has got to be the first thing to go because it’s not funny, it’s just bloody annoying. Every sketch just seemed a bit obvious and outdated? Even if a comedy doesn’t really make me laugh, as long as it written well, I’ll still watch it and probably enjoy it but with this, there were a lot of points in all 6 eps where I was just bored. Like you said, it was generally fine but I don’t think the cross generational writing team works. The writing team they had on TMAWL was much better because they were all a similar age & had very similar senses of humour so it felt like the show had a proper direction & identity. This, in comparison, is just a mess.
