Wow that’s really interesting so weird how there was no consensus on how many series there were. Also shame the entire show was never released on DVD. Speaking of DVDs I have the entire DVD collection of Come Outside and although there are confirmed 40 episodes the DVDs in total have 39 episodes. The only episode missing is one called “Pencils” that’s not on the DVDs but it’s on YouTube. VERY strange.
