I will agree that the first episode of that two header is weak; I think that they chose to focus these sketches for the Am Drammers who watch these, as the jokes are a lot more specific to the way a lot of AD groups run. I’ve done the pointless masterclasses with people who have far less talent that they think and the improv session was less a funny section and more a cold hard look at groups who genuinely rate themselves as better than professional actors. After 40 years of Am Dramming, I could put a real life name to every one of the characters, but I completely understand people not relating to the humour of the these different episodes. Ironically, Mischief Movie Night was a fantastic improv show where they took audience suggestions and created a complete staged movie on the fly - during lockdown, these were available to watch live online and were brilliantly done

2024-04-17 10:59:02 +0000 UTCI don’t know if you noticed it, but she got him to wear a big hat and he didn’t realise, so she proved she was smarter and better than him. It’s probably the only subtle gag on the show
