This Was Heavy FAM | Begins β‰  Youth Ep. 3 REACTION

Parts of this episode was gut wrenching to watch. You will see us squirming in our seats at certain parts - especially when a certain event took place towards the end.

Let's talk about all of this in the comments FAM πŸ€“

Haru has my heart 😩

Ana

Haru mother is hurting him more than tye memory. Instead of helping her sin, she's more worried about herself. His brother is no better. I feel so bad for Haru. I just want to hold him and comfort him.

So Haru did witness something but it is about a kid that went missing (I can't remember the kids name right now) and he does remember but he is acting like he doesn't because of how ashamed or embarrassed his mom is about it. Which is why he kept hearing his mom saying don't talk about it (Or something like that). That is why the title is called Lie, because Haru is lying about his situation. Haru's mom is crazy to me and she is not doing Haru or herself any favors by telling him to hide what he is going through. If anything she is just making it worse and not letting him heal. She is really just embarrassed because by the way things have affected Haru and she doesn't want anyone to know about it.

This episode was intense. So I think that Haru (Jimin) witnessed Cein (Suga) mother's death, but he can't remember because his parents have him taking those pills. It looks like the therapists either wants for him to remember or asking if he remembers anything so that she could prescribe stronger medication to help him forget. I could be wrong, but that's my understanding of it so far. As for Jeha (JK), I think he did steal the money. This episode was good!

I wanna know if the whole gang remember the original BU, because in this series, they took the BU as we know it and ran with it somewhere else. Like a familiar place but in another country, if you know what I mean.

Yup

I think that Hosu uploaded a video of Haru dancing and some of the kids from his last school found it and were commenting on it. Hosu was then getting the notifications that they sent to each other about Haru.

Jeha and Haru, are making me cry. This one was stressful. Haru mom is like that with him because she doesn't want anyone to know what he is going through. His mom is embarrassed by it and poor Haru with no way to release his thought or emotions. Jeha's mom makes me mad. Not even protecting her son from the step dad and step brother.

All the adults are mental. These poor boys and the horrible creatures around them. Blaze, we are gonna need bricks for every single adult.

It’s so much more fun watching this with the Fam. The actors ARE amazing and I love that they insert little nuggets of BTS into the characters. Having BUed through the original content several times, what a treat to have the whole storyline clearly laid out in front of us. I have to give props to all the ARMY who when through the original material as it was released, albums, mv, webtoon , and the notebooks. ARMY are detectives!!!! I came to BTS later so everything was already laid out to see. Thank you BTS/BIG HIT for the adventure we are all on. Onward, Begins ….Youth

The principal is one of the most manipulative pieces of shit I've ever seen in a drama. Having Hwan "water the orchids" while leaving the exam answers out to test his resolve knowing full well the kind of pressure Hwan has to live up to his dad's name. And then being all tit-for-tat with him. Like, "imma do this for you" like it's some sort of favor and "when I need something down the road, you're gonna help me". Which is basically blackmailing him. πŸ˜πŸ’€ Y'all were right. That flashback was Changjun (Hwan's father) having his homeroom teacher (and now Hwan's principal) give him the same speech he gave Hwan. Essentially securing blackmail material for the future. UGH. These adults drive me CRAZY. πŸ˜’

1:10:48 - there is such a heavy stigma on mental health in SK. The mental health care system is so subpar. Those who are going through that kind of stuff often get ostracized and people are like "oh man, we don't want to associate with that kind of crazy." I mean, it is slowly getting better as the uneducated and prejudiced generations die out, but there is still a LONG way to go.

Lizzie

This is a heavy show in general. It's important to protect your mental health when watching it honestly. There is some subject matter that is just so hard. The BU itself is like that as well. It can get very dark. This episode is really the first time we are really seeing the heaviness of the BU slip into the show. It's really a wild ride from here on out.

Lizzie

yes, it's it pretty heavy. I watched the original BTS Universe years ago but couldn't finish it because it was a bit much. I'm watching with you guys for emotional support.

Estella

β€˜ these adults are annoying me β€œ is the theme of this drama… there so much I wanna say but I can’t but you hit the nail on the head. The actors playing the guys are AMAZING. They’re so good in co vexing emotions.

april pullen
