Domi & JD Beck are the jazz duo responsible for the sick beats in the interlude!! Domi is the keyboardist and JD Beck is the drummer. Insane duo and I'm so happy to see yall appreciating them.

Iโ€™m very late to this reaction but I hope Blaze read this comment. Please know your outro comment made me tear up. I just wish all the best for Joon and I hope when he comes out of the military, only good things will happen to him. He had such a rough few years. ๐Ÿฅบ L๐Ÿ’œ

Upon my first listen, I thought, โ€œOh, I need to listen to this like I used to listen to Princeโ€™s albums when they first came out.โ€ My ear could detect musical, lyrical, and production depth but I knew my brain needed a minute. This approach paid off. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ALBUM. Also, of course โ€˜Around the world in a dayโ€™ sounds like Princeโ€ฆthe title (Princeโ€™s seventh studio album) was the first hint.

This album is an experience in sound design and production that held my interest from beginning to end. It's the little sweeteners and constant changes that make this not only a solid concept album but a listening experience that mirrors the anxieties and sentiments. Like I feel lost when that's being expressed in the song, angry when it's angry, defiant when it's defiant, etc. That's what's so fascinating to me.

I agree with Blaze. It's a 95/100 for me as well. I also didn't really connect with Heaven, not saying it's a bad song, just not really my vibe. Salute ๐Ÿซก to the President, Kim Namjoon, you did your thang on this one!! As always, thank you Nico, Blaze and AJJ for all of your hard work and for bringing us the quality content that we love! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

L๐Ÿ’œ Being real like you asked, there were some songs on this album I was a bit overwhelmed by at first, generally this is not the type of music I ever chose to listen to before getting into BTS and becoming army, but because it's RM I gave it a chance. I have listened to it quite a few times now and even if I found some of it a bit abrasive at first- I 100% respect the things he was saying and how he has clearly been feeling. I am so glad that he was able to get all of his frustrations out and hope it made him feel a bit better and I hope it was a wake up call to some people out there - idols are still real people. All that being said there are some songs on it that I instantly loved like Come back to me, Lost and Heaven. Others won't ever be my favourites. I won't give it a number or % as I don't like rating things that way but I agree the album as a whole was brilliantly structured and I respect RM so much for his originality and artistry - I definitely salute the president ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿซก

I was waiting for you guysโ€™ review on this album. I can easily count in one hand the BTS content creator that have been there since day one & you guys are definitely #1 for me. All of your reactions are always so genuine and not afraid to say what you think/feel about every album/songs released. I enjoyed Namjoons new album. It gave me that nostalgic Sunday cleaning vibes when my parents would just blast 70s-80s music and I canโ€™t help but do the โ€œCarltonโ€ dance when the beat drops on โ€˜Lostโ€™ lol. Again thanks for the awesome work you guys. May the entire โ€˜Whatchagot2sayโ€™ fam stay blessed! Borahae ๐Ÿ’œ

This album for me is a true masterpiece and I find myself connecting with every track. Heaven I connect with so fully, so much so that it can bring on tears as I reflect on my own emotions as Iโ€™m experiencing it. I heard sounds thatโ€™s remind me so much of the brilliant Robert Glasperโ€™s music in Interlude; extra bonus to me. Thank-you for the truly genuine impressions. It was so enjoyable L๐Ÿ’œ

One of the privileges of being a BTS fan is that you have 7 complete artists, each with their own style and completely dedicated to the art. They cater to so many different musical needs that you never get bored, and they constantly outdo themselves. In the second chapter, we are very spoiled.๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ So this album is masterpiece. RM does it again! Love album as a whole, but my favorite 3 are Groin, Lost and Around the world in a day. L๐Ÿ’œ

Elentaใƒ„

I love this album, I love that he got to let it all out. He really needed to let it all out. I am so happy that he has so much growth and this break was a very good thing for everyone to show their flavor. My fav is Groin, the beat on that is just speaking to me. It feels like you can let loose with that song. I love the reaction and for always keeping it real. L๐Ÿ’œ

Haha, I was so excited already coming here, but then I heard One Piece background music and that just made everything even better.๐Ÿ’œ RPWP is something I have a hard time analyzing, because 2 minutes in my analytical brain quits and I simply become a ball of vibes and periodical screeches of "ho ho ho ho" and "get your ๐Ÿ‘ outta the trunk!". ๐Ÿ˜…

My mom used to soften blows as a kid, but when I turned out in the type of woman I did, which was clearly whom she didn't want me to be, it all went out the window and she clearly wasn't feeling me for a very long time. To this day I'm not sure that she does, but at least she tolerates me? (but I see what you were trying to say though, I feel like nowadays it applies to any parental figure tbh). As always love and respect you all, and thank you for the great reaction! L๐Ÿ’œ

L๐Ÿ’œ Iโ€™m in awe of him again. As he told Jimin during their minimoni exchange, I know heโ€™s โ€œjust a 29 year old guyโ€ trying to live his life. But to me heโ€™s so much more. Not that Iโ€™d want to put pressure on him, or more expectations. Itโ€™s just that he means more to me. Iโ€™m so grateful that heโ€™s letting us into his brain, his heart, and giving it to us from the groin! The honesty, the shameless truth. If we canโ€™t take it from him then we arenโ€™t the real ones, right?! My only skip would be Domodachi, because it honestly makes me feel a bit insane. Sonically. I have to quickly go listen to some Jiminโ€™s Letter afterwards so my cortisol levels donโ€™t rise up! My favorites are Nuts, out of love, Groin and Around the world. I so enjoyed listening with you guys! Apobangpo, Borahae!๐Ÿ’œ Also, theyโ€™re gonna have to have at least a two day concert to include the gold solo works. Can you imagine them performing these one member at a time? Theyโ€™ve crossed so many genres and theyโ€™ve slayed them all. ๐Ÿ’œ

WhatchaGot2Say

L๐Ÿ’œ! This album is incredible. I have too many words and not enough words to describe it, if that makes sense? I'm proud of his honesty and feel lucky to submerge myself in his art. It's clearly a journey through some troubled times and the 'after', where you can hurt more even while healing. The journey to try and find yourself again, with the added monstrous weight of being BTS' leader and a spokesperson for an entire country. He's just a guy, you know? He's larger than life to us but he really is just a dude in this wild world! I love it, him, bangtan, and YOU GUYS!

NotCaseyKasem

L๐Ÿ’œ yay I'm happy y'all checked out the lyrics from there, I figured they were most accurate ๐Ÿ˜ I completely love how raw and in ur face this album is! Like the 1st mixtape he's being angry, but this time it's more focused? If that makes sense? I really love all songs, I love the flow of the album. I love this album sonically, it's chaotic yet beautiful. Isn't that life tho? Lyrically, it breaks my heart. Imagine listening to another artist's music and get cancelled, becoming an international incident! Imagine visiting a monastery and have your private conversations leaked! Imagine having your personal info and travel itinerary traded as commodity for years! Like who is protecting this man? Who is standing up for this human? If not you, then at least let him be and go about your business. That is what I got out of the album! 98/100 for me

What a rollercoaster. I found watching RM and Jimin talking about this album beneficial before listening to it. Itโ€™s a rollercoaster ride. Heโ€™s so angry in the first half. Some girl really hurt him! Heโ€™s totally sick of the bullshit. Heaven made me cry. Itโ€™s like heโ€™s wrung himself out and then itโ€™s the admittance heโ€™s ok with himself alone. I loved it. Groin - RM ain't taking no prisoners. ๐Ÿคฃ Nico calling for a NIBLAJJ regroup. Heaven! - Chill vibes LOST! - This gives me 50s TV/Game Show vibes. Great album, overall. My likes were Right People, Wrong Place, Nuts, Domodachi, ?. Groin, LOST. Credit Roll, and Come Back to Me. so i guess you could say my rate is 8/11. however I would add another 2 points to the overall album to make a grand total of 10/11 This is my interpretation of the entire album: Right Place, Wrong Person, is basically talking about him, Kim Namjoon, having RM's identity. I think the album as a whole is him having trouble with his identity as an idol. I believe the Indigo album was his introspection as how he, RM, was dealing with his own identity as being an idol and his identity fusing with the BTS as a group. But RPWP is his introspection of how he, as Kim Namjoon, felt being where he was and where he is now. He was in the right place as being the leader of BTS, but he had moments of doubt of what kind of person he was and what kind of person he's portraying himself to be. As the person, Kim Namjoon, the common man would feel plenty of pressure being in the spotlight and your identity. Be it your persona or your ego, your identity changes with the wind in the entertainment/music industry. Sometimes you yourself changes because of your environment, and you won't always realize it until you've changed. I also believe that the journey through the album is him spilling out his guts about how he felt on his own journey to self-discovery and him addressing different things that managed to influence his identity changing (such as Groin, where I feel like is his response to public opinion). But at the conclusion, he's reeled himself back in.

I will rate this album a 94. I have done several listens and most of my hesitations have fallen away. I am a very emotional person and music can heavily influence my day to day and the album drop is dropping at a time that I am struggling with a lot of responsibilities and expectations. I generally tend to run and hide when to many people are demanding of me, currently I do not have that option. So having my bias drop an album that speaks so much to my inner turmoil is an interesting point. Granted what ways I apply the interpretation will not be the same as others. But I definitely feel the flow and beat of this album is going to be a mood we find in a lot of albums coming out by other artists as so many influences were used.

Hi guys! Any reaction that has you all vibing to the beat in the same way is a winner, As always, Blaze catches my eye when listening to the music. [He was extra with the pc pops, though. ๐Ÿ˜‚] but watching Blaze ride the pockets is joyful . AJJ you had your stank face on so much I wanted to warn you about getting stuck that way! Nico, I know y'all're always pressed for time, so you had to do both lyrics and the music together for this first run through. That said, when you have the chance, find a dark room, grab a drink, and vibe to just the music a few times. Go back to the lyrics once the music is in your bones. This album is everything I want for the members. Be /yourself/. Say what you want, how you went, when you want; ARMY/gen pop can take it or leave it. Namjoon's music is his art, and art is subjective. We as fans need to let them, be /themselves/. They are grown men, let them act their age and not be beholden to the childish/idol image of the previous 10 years. The art we receive when they stop caring about our opinion is next level. So much of the instrumentation is right outta my childhood, if not even further back. Jazzy sax, trumpet and trombone, a piano; I swear I heard a bass clarinet. Funky bass guitar, with the bright electric dancing over top, and that drummer really is earning /all/ dey money! Styles included jazz, R & B, gospel, hip hop, grunge, early funk, industrial, some early digital era stuff. I'm reminded of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Parliament, and Blondie. The album moved me, and when listened to straight through the first time, I was confused, and enthused, and there were several swoons. I vibed most of the time. The second time through, I was prepared, and everything just... made sense? The sound was, for me at least, nostalgic. It's when they are layered atop each other, creating that cacophony that is /just/ a hair over too much, that things move into new territory for me. And, if you want to actually /hear/ what Joon is saying you gotta be still, and /listen/; REALLY turn on your ears, because the music itself is enough to drag your mind elsewhere. I firmly believe the fact that his vocals are just a smidge too soft, is intentional. Vibe with the music or listen to the words, but to do both takes intentionality from the audience. RM wants you to /want/ to hear what he's saying. I have an RM only, playlist and RPWP is living happily in the file; I let them mix and mash up in any order, and it's perfectly, beautifully, Namjoon. I love it. L๐Ÿ’œ

KIM๐Ÿ‘๐ŸพNAMJOON๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพis๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพthe๐Ÿ‘๐ŸพGOAT๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ Never forget that.๐Ÿซก With RPWP, he's shown us that his title as an IDOL, isn't literal. This is my favorite album from Namjoon! My first listen was without lyrics and I liked every track, but Heaven was my least favorite. After listening again with the lyrics, I came to love it just as much as the others because I could relate to it. I still don't have a favorite yet which hasn't happened before when it comes to their solo albums. It's definitely not for everyone, but since Change Pt 2 is my favorite song off of Indigo, this felt like a whole album's worth of songs like that. I know you guys had to pause between songs, but I hope you listen to the smooth transition between Nuts & out of love cuz it's so good. As always, I loved your album reaction/ review. I love this album I love how he put his heart out their letting people know that he isn't going to change.. It took him to make this album so he could move on and let go of things that's been bothering him it's also the hate that he's received from being our leader and having to go through that ..when he broke down at the Festa dinner in 2022 you could see how hurt he was. plus dealing with not being able to enlist with Hobi and with Jin being the first to enlist.. I think that was Also stressful too he went through alot and hopefully now he's alot more happier now that he was able to put this album out love you guys ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

People want them to be them, until they're them. RM is the epitome of more than one thing. He's not everyone's ideal and he's not supposed to be. RM is art. RM is a poet. This album is example of his mindset. I grew listening to every genre and I've been judged because I love more than what people assume I should. RM is that. Just because he's Korean, people take one look and lump him into a lane best fitting for THEM. They aren't aware of what RM is aware of. His eyes and his ears have been wide open for a long time. He absorbs so much. He is teaching everyone not to conform and not to be comfortable with him. He's like the dice in a game of Scattergories. There are more sides then usual and whatever side he lands on, he's gonna give you something different for each round. The collabs are amazing. The productions are insane. The layering is mind blowing. Again, the only thing I dislike is that Credit Roll and ?(Interlude) is too short. I'm more than satisfied with this album. *Nico, you're not alone. When I first heard Out Of Love I too did not dislike it, but I didn't know how to feel about it. But listening to it multiple times, one being me leaving work. I begun to love it. Blaze just really confirmed it when he read the lyrics. I know so many people who aren't into BTS, but I can guarantee, they would love this album. RM is the best!

Domodachi and Groin are my favorites! Heaven is up there too. It's like being in SoCal with the oceans and palm trees, just relaxed and vibing. These guys have been making some incredibly eye-opening statements about how they've felt. This man's resilience is amazing. That's why he's The President! I'm also jealous of seeing everyone together. I don't have any Army friends and coming here helps!

Heaven is one of my favorites on the album. The vibe is calm, but the message is pointed and clear to the people who seem to only derive happiness from harming and stealing joy from others. It's like he's saying "you can't hide, I see you for what you are. I see your motives are to bring me down to uplift yourself. Go ahead, try to steal my "heaven", I'll be fine. You can't take me down so easily. I will be happy where I land".

RM and Jimin did an album review of this album. They call it an album exchange but itโ€™s just this one. Itโ€™s really enlightening to hear them both talk about it. I sent you a link earlier.

The bass in Nuts reminds me of So Fresh, So Clean by OutKast. Donโ€™t know if Iโ€™m reaching but the way RM was delivering the lyrics when the bass was highlighted was very reminiscent of So Fresh, So Clean.

This album is insane, but it has a progression to it. Groin is my favorite. RM giving the finger๐Ÿ–•to the haters.
