Currently got to episode 3, yes romesh really did bet his wedding ring (and his car) but he did get it back from josh however josh said when he tried to get it back "actually I think you'll find it's within the rules of the show that I'm allowed to keep it" also frank really did cash that blank check but he did eventually return it.
