Michael Barrymore was everywhere on tv when I was a kid, between this and ‘My Kind Of People/My Kind Of Music’ he was Mr Saturday Night for quite a long time. And he was bloody good at it. He was so, so talented in what he did and it’s just a shame that it ended in the way it did. I believe he probably would’ve still been a hugely popular presenter today were it not for everything that happened.
