The reason why the editors blocked out Woo Shik's eyes when he arrived was a reference to his movie Parasite (the actors all have their eyes blocked the same way on the movie poster). They were also playing Parasite's OST during this part. Much love!

2023-05-13 06:59:02 +0000 UTCI've worked in restaurants for years. My first was workin in my schools cafeteria. As seniors we worked the shop, so that's my first time. I learned some skills when we went on a junior/ senior retreat for 11th and 12 graders. I didn't like doing the outdoor activities so I helped the kitchen staff and helped prepare and serve. I was the one who did every job even if I was just the host. I cleaned tables, ran food, helped the servers even took orders as a host. So I'm used to doing multiple things and I'm glad my managers valve me the freedom to do that. So I definitely agree with you on having Tae's position. I'm not one for small talk, so having a conversation with guests, is way out of my comfort zone. My mouth is faster than my brain so sometimes my words don't come out so well, luckily some of my coworkers knew how to translate (like RM, Suga and Jin do for Tae- yes I speak TaeTae language)

I really enjoy your authentic reaction and appreciation for the editing. I know the U.S. style is to make cuts with memes and soundbites that don't always match the videos decibels. I prefer this subtler style that pokes fun at the actors and lets us in on their innocent way of making fun. It creates an intimacy with the audience as we feel like we are part of continuous inside jokes. You paid homage to that style in this reaction and I really enjoyed it. Either this episode or the last, Tae's way of washing rice was all wrong. The editors were poking fun at it. As someone who has made rice since before even starting school, I laughed so hard. He got measuring with his hand right though. That's the harder part which is probably why he was so happy about the compliment on his rice making skills. As a fellow Texan in the DFW area, I really think you should go to an HMart. There is one in Carrollton and in Arlington. They sell tteobokki, fricken, and gimbap.

Yes I reacted the same and hell yes I'm damn hungry even though I've grown weak to spicy food that tteokboki looks so damn delicious if I was there I'd probably drag multiple people with me so we can order everything off the menu so I could try it all out. I'd definitely want to be like Nico and in the back dishes is fine as my people skills suck and it's become a massive headache the more I age 🤷🏽♀️

I don't know why exactly, probably because this month has been tougher for me mentally, but watching these episodes with you really is something that's been lifting my spirits up lately. Also this is just my own take on this show so far, they are doing a great job at managing everything. I for some reason get anxious when people recognize Tae or the actress or actors. An Army probably wouldn't bother them but I get the feeling they would be very overwhelmed if the word were to get out even though they want more customers. Also I would work in the back probably doing the dishes and such. 😅💜

Thank goodness for the ice cream I was feeling so bad Blaze hadn’t eaten as I was hungry just watching the episode. 2: I would want to be in the back and not dealing with hangry people. I have to say I felt sorry for Blaze watching this show hungry…It’s torture with how delicious the food looks haha… I defo recommend at least snacks haha. Our tradition has now become to get a take-out as we watch each new ep as it comes out on Prime. I really love this show and it’s pacing etc and watching people eat and interact. My absolute fav parts of the episodes are of course all that involve our beautiful Tae, but I also love the whole cast. I love his interactions and dynamics with all of them, I love that despite being at times perplexed by Tae, Seo Jin also seems to find him as endearing as we do but is also ever so slightly stern… and their amusing tiki-taka style, very light bickering. I also love the two interns and their roleplays etc (Kim (pronounced Gim) comes first in Korean before Choi which is why Tae was saying he’s the senior (in addition to being there two days earlier lol). I also love that because he is around 7 years older than Tae, Seo Jun takes care of Tae… it was so sweet and funny that his to do list had ‘look after intern Kim’ on it at the end. I also love how mutually supportive Tae and Yu Mi and the rest are. Really looking forward to the next ep with you guys, it’s a great one.💜

Being part of Seojin's Kitchen was a good move for him. Next, they put the black bars over Wooshik's eyes because of Parasite, the movie he was part of that won at the Oscars. The black bar was part of the movie posters. Next, my fave parts were all the Seojin and Tae interactions because Seojin is like the typical old man and Tae is such a millennial that it's hilarious to see them clash sweetly.
