I can also vouch for Primeval, it is very similar to Doctor Who's vibe and is imo the best dinosaur featured tv show out there, brilliant cgi even to todays standards, reminds me a lot of the game Ark Survival Evolved but live action and a good storyline can't say anymore without spoiling anything.
