I'll disagree about the significance of any added benefits of watching SJA. While I personally did see some benefits of watching TW. I didn't feel the same about SJA at all. Of course you may feel differently should you choose to watch it.

2022-06-30 19:38:20 +0000 UTCYou definitely need to watch the Sarah Jane adventures and I'm really not just saying that as a big fan of the franchise as a whole. It's hard to explain because of spoilers but you really do need to get through season 2 of torchwood and season 1 of the Sarah Jane adventures before season 4 episode 12 of doctor who, or even episode 11, really trust me things are going to feel so rewarding having watched it all in the correct order. If it helps with the exception of the pilot episode every episode of the Sarah Jane adventures is half an hour long and 2 parter's. Also if it helps the doctor even appears in later seasons.
