Like seriously how many ads did I watch on how fix an enlarged prostate?? LOL! Great episode though. LπŸ’œπŸœ

It’s so funny Blaze talked about β€œLoving the episode, but not liking it” because a little while back, I was talking with my siblings and my older brother said that he β€œloved his wife, but more importantly he liked her”. It really stuck with me.

DanielleM

This competition was slightly unfair though cause both Jin and Suga which are the known good cooks, ended up on the same team! Though Jhope can cook well too! JK's team plating looked the best though!

Sheri

That delicious looking stew unleashed the inner Whitney in Blaze 🀣🍲

Cynthia Serra Neves

Aw, Blaze congratulations. Sending you and your lovely wife wishes of happiness.

Cynthia Serra Neves

Sorry this came late but would like to say Congrats Blaze!!! May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and lovely family!!! Oh yes , would really love to see you guys eat Korean food πŸ₯°

Yumi Shimitzu

Blaze, i'm so happy for you! :) hope you have a wonderful wedding and good luck on your diet.

Angie

Congrats, Blaze! I hope you will post pictures of the fam at the wedding if you're willing to share! Also, have an awesome time eating Korean food! Let us know what you ate, I'm always curious to know what first timers decide on and what they think! I hope you enjoy!!

SKim

So clean and smooth

WhatchaGot2Say

Jk's 'singing' type of talking i believe is him demonstrating his Busan accent :D :D :D

Japchae is a great beginner dish.

FlyUshkiFly

The song they play during cooking episodes - la lala la la la, la la lala in kid voices. (hehe) It's from the OST of a hugely popular kdrama called Dae Jang Geum or Jewel in the Palace. It's set in the early 1500s and based on the true story of an orphan who grew up in the palace kitchens to train as a cook, then through many extraordinary events, became the first female doctor to a Korean king. I really recommend it - it was the second kdrama I watched - but it is a commitment of 54 hours. But guys - like 15 of those hours are scenes of people cooking and eating extravagant palace cuisine!!! 😁

FlyUshkiFly

Oh yes, panko is such a gamechanger, especially when it comes to fried foods. I LOVE it. :D

Lux

Oooh, Blaze gets to experiment with panko! Fried chicken, fried cutlets, croquette - anywhere bread crumbs are used. I even use them in my pie crust cinnamon rolls to soak up the butter and melted sugar so it doesn't run out!

FlyUshkiFly

Hope you can vlog when you try korean samgyeopsal :)

Hope

Google if you're unsure, but I usually just add enough to make the batter the consistency I'm going for, so just add a bit at a time until you like it. (Sorry, I don't give out measurements often because I just throw things together based on my intuition and what looks/smells/tastes right. I don't really measure. xD)

Lux

will have to try cold soda water with tempura batter to make fish and chips... do you know how much is needed? or should I google it

Oooooh best wishes Blaze!!!! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ Tempura batter is what's commonly used for shrimp / ebi tempura or vegetable tempura and there are tempura flakes you can use to make the crunchy coating, it's a bit like bread crumbs. Tonkatsu is like breaded pork chop in a way, but for me it tastes way better. I'm looking forward to your vlog at the Korean restaurant!! Hope you try kbbq, japchae, a lot of banchan (side dishes), kimchi fried rice, at least soybean stew, galbi, omg what else. Just eat and be happy. 😁😁😁

Karla24.wintaebear

Congrats to Blaze and his bride! Tae was actually using bread crumbs to coat the pork cutlets. It was mentioned very quickly when he was looking for tempura batter recipes.

Jessica McGuire

Congratulations Blaze on being about to get married!

Lanie R.

Oh update, the kitchen & bar twitter account has threads of what they made (and ate) from what show and episode. These include Eat Jin's lives from when they are overseas and when they eat foreign food as well. Recipes are all yours. Have fun and congratulations to Blaze on the upcoming wedding.

Lashette

I'm about to put y'all on. BTS ARMY Kitchen & Bar shares recipes that BTS cooks from their various shows. They also share lots of traditional and popular korean dishes and mixed drinks. They have a website and a twitter account you can follow. I know of another group that tells you which episodes each recipe comes from but I can't remember right now. But if you write down the names of the foods as you watch Run, you'll be bale to find them on BTS army kitchen & bar via search.

Lashette

Great reaction as always! πŸ’œπŸ’œ

So Blaze can look up recipes: - Radish Kimchi Team made: 1) Radish kimchi stew with pork 2) Radish kimchi fried rice (2 ways - plain, sprinkled with dried laver flakes, and topped with melted cheese and laver flakes) 3) Bonus dish of pan fried radish kimchi with pork belly, with a side of white rice, and a bonus of skewered sausages, pan grilled

Lux

- tonkatsu is actually very easy to make - take a pork chop (or chicken tender/breast), pound it thin, dredge it through seasoned flour, then whisked egg, then seasoned panko bread crumbs (this is why it looked crispy even before cooking), then pan/deep fry - tonkatsu has a brown sauce that is used specifically for tonkatsu, but it's tasty with or without the sauce - anchovy/fish sauce - much of Korean cuisine has a base of fish (including most kimchi, which is why it's not very vegan friendly) - whether it's dried anchovies and kelp used to make stock, or dried anchovies added to a soup, or even fish sauce drizzled into a dish, those flavors are prevalent throughout Korean food - that said, those flavors are merely deep, salty, savory, and rich - they do not add a fishy flavor to the food at all (unless the dish is an actual seafood dish) - as an example, I always go with caesar dressing - the dressing actually uses anchovies to provide it that funky/salty/nutty flavor, and most people don't realize that when they order a caesar salad, they are, in fact, eating anchovies, but the dressing itself does not taste nor smell of fish - tempura - there are 2 ways to make tempura - both ways use tempura flour, which is a special blend of seasoned flours - the first method is to do like Tae is doing, making tonkatsu - flour, egg, panko crumbs - the second method is to add water (preferably cold soda water) to the tempura flour to make a batter, which you can dredge meats and veggies into and then deep fry

Lux

You can find panko at Asian Markets. Hopefully there's one near your area.

NIBLAJJ!! LOVED the Whitney Houston serenade for Yoongi's Tonkatsu Kimchi Nabe. Congrats Blaze on your upcomping Murrage ceremony. Poor Nico, getting shade for NO Mustard. When is Adam's Army Card being re-instated?

happles

But how did you not react to IQ 148 President Namjoon trying to catch them boiling noodles with his bare hands at about 18:00 and chef Jin's frantic vocals πŸ˜‚

Inka Pekkanen

I love to see the 3 of you watching the run episodes!!

Eva Gutierrez

Funny that you mention how JK talks like he's singing right when he was using satoori πŸ˜‚ since you just reacted to Paldogangsan, maybe you'll start to notice the difference vs standard Korean when they slip into satoori, esp Hobi, Jimin, V and JK

janagabrielles

I love the cooking episodes! I noticed so many extra funny bits watching it again with you all. Btw, Blaze, the dishes you missed were kimchi fried rice with sausage and kimchi pork stew, both made with radish kimchi.

Sarah

Definitely! Tempura is also a must try if you love prawns β€πŸ’œπŸ˜ in a Japanese restaurant

Lailani_s21

oh right

WhatchaGot2Say

Going to need to try that from somewhere...or maybe make it at home πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

It's because I actually eat onions like that lol

WhatchaGot2Say

This episode was great and like Blaze I always get hungry after watching the episodes where they cook. I wish I had the skills to cook like them. I loved the impromptu song from Blaze, that was hilarious!

Borahae_Bambi

The fact that none of you cringed when Jimin bit to that onion surprised me lol

ParkMinJeon

V and team is making tonkatsu which is a deep-fried pork cutlet. the batter they used I think is panko breadcrumbs, which makes tonkatsu crunchy

Lailani_s21

V wasn’t a part of the dance line yet (:

ParkMinJeon

Yay! Just in time for me to eat my lunch while watching these crackheads cookπŸ˜‚
