Bon Voyage Ep. 03 (Season 1) + Behind Cam REACTION

Comments

I love them too they are so random and just like being there selves

Heather Anglada

So, I'm watching these reactions and as I'm watching just keep getting an urge to play Mario... The 90s' stuff of course.

Tammy L. Faulkner

You guys didnt even know KPOP or BTS back in 2016. How can u ask them to take picture?

Penny D Young

Niko we both said β€œsquirrel” at the same time. Great minds think a like. It’s so nice seeing this side of them. You can see the purity in their outlook and overall demeanor/being. It’s wonderful seeing them be as β€œnormal” as possible. Bon Voyage has given them a lot of experiences they might not have had otherwise.

Amber Espinoza

Rewatching older BV reactions and saw your comment and thought to add. Yes, I think it's important for those interested in traveling abroad to be mindful about not interpreting a foreign culture through the lenses of their own, otherwise it's going to be a miserable and frustrating experience. The guys interactions with the cashier didn't faze me; however, if that took place in the U.S. then I'd say it was rude based on U.S. culture. I've traveled abroad and have been bumped into without the other person apologizing, strangers not holding the door when I was right behind them and so on, and I never thought "How rude!". It's rude in the U.S., but doesn't mean it's considered rude in another culture. Another tip is to read up on the customs of the country you're visiting. I have a tendency to fold my arms and this habit/body language is considered extremely rude in some countries. I've been abroad, standing and folding my arms and was getting stares from strangers. I immediately dropped my arms to my side. Good to do some research beforehand so that we are good guests in the country we're visiting.

DC

So Norway is a country with its own culture so a lot of the stuff you see is very unique, including those clothes Namjoon bought and those little figurines. And I think the read the lady behind the counter sounded rude is just how we talk and sound lol and we’re also very wary of strangers and like our personal space A LOT πŸ˜‚ Fun fact; not many people knows this but lord of the rings was supposed to be filmed in Norway, at least for some parts, but due to Norway being a very expensive country Peter Jackson decided on his home country (New Zealand) instead 😊

Bangtan is life

L.A. Kennedy

Nico, I will gladly help fund a BTS travel adventure for you and Mika but…….my ass is going with y’allπŸ˜† COME ON!πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œβ„οΈπŸ‡°πŸ‡·

L.A. Kennedy

I think that seeing how people react and navigate just little everyday situations says a lot about them. Plus, when you love someone you can watch them do just about any mundane thing. And we all love the boys. They are just a pleasure to watch exist.

Amanda Flowers

Ah! Nico I thought you were going to ask us to go with you on a WhatcherFam Bon Voyage trip!!

Shelley Burr

7:20... Nico, I really enjoy watching them interacting with non Korean's. So checking out at a register is another example of that. It's just fun watching them navigate normal situations that we all have to deal with (especially in a country where you don't speak the language!!). So, I'm with you on that!

L Fallon

I laughed at the look on Jimin's face when Tae snapped a Jin. I honestly thought the older members were going to get angry when Tae did that the first time I watched it.

J.C Hughes

V was testing out his mad acting skills....pretty well I would say, lol Had me getting upset with the rest of them knowing that Jimin, RM, and J-Hope had already lost stuff too. But, stuff like this can happen, especially when they are probably used to others keeping up with their stuff when they travel for concerts. Good life lessons.

Debra West

Come on!

Debra West

Count me IN!!

happles

I love Mika being a mom to BTS, worrying about how much they ate and wanting to warm Jin’s ears up. Honestly, you both are so sweet!!!πŸ’œ I love your guys idea of taking a trip and visiting all the places BTS have been to on Bon Voyage!!! I hope I can do that someday as well!

DanielleM

Awesome, looking forward to it ! I might watch In the Soop again after I finish season 4 of BV . Y'alls videos always get me extra hyped; your reactions about BTS are so relatable ! loll Will y'all be reacting to Butter? I can't wait for the release ! I understand about COVID, I barely left the house at all in 2020, but this year I decided to try leaving the house again so that I could go to Borahae Crew's events for J-Hope &* Suga, respectively . I really enjoyed the events &* I loved being in the company of other Armys, they were good experiences ! 😊 Not sure how you're feeling about going out this year, but if you feel comfortable, the 8th anniversary party is on June 13th !

Victoria Gotardo

Borahae Crew does sound familiar. I think they invited us to a Suga birthday event last March but we weren't able to attend because of the Covid situation. Hoping to be able to get involved with some events this year, especially since it's local 😁

WhatchaGot2Say

Hey fellow Texas ARMY!! Oh yes, we will definitely be watching all seasons of Bon Voyage and moving into In the Soop after. We're going in order πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

Hi Nico &* Mika, I really enjoy y'alls videos &* appreciation for BTS ! I'm currently on season 4 of Bon Voyage, but I'm rewatching season 1 through the reaction videos ! I definitely recommend the rest of the seasons if y'all have the chance, along with In the Soop ! It's refreshing to see them taking the time to recharge since they work so hard ! I realized while watching that y'all live in Euless; I'm also an Army in DFW (near Plano) ! Are y'all familiar with Borahae Crew? They're a local group of Army that host events for each BTS member's birthday, along with an anniversary event in June ! 😊 Looking forward to more of your videos ! Thank you for being so genuine &* showing so much love to the boys ! πŸ’œ

Victoria Gotardo

It's so much fun watching these!! Glad you feel the same 😁 And yep we will be watching In the Soop in the future. So much great content to get to πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

there are so many more episodes of this series that I can't wait for you guys to get to!!!! I know posting and editing take time, but I am super excited to see your reactions to the rest of season 1 and season 2, 3 and four! I hope you guys will tackle BTS in the SOOP next as well!!!

Kimberly Lopez

Don't think you caught it but the reason JK pulled a face when buying sandwiches was that he tried to get the server lady's attention by calling her "noona", then realised she wouldn't understand korean! Super relatable cringe travel moment we've all had haha

Akizato

For sure. More coming next month. Stay tuned 😁

WhatchaGot2Say

That is so interesting. Thank you for letting us know FAM

WhatchaGot2Say

That noise you’ve heard was the crossover it makes noises for ppl who are blind and stuff to let them know when it’s green or red we have them in Europe quiet often idk about other places at least I’ve never saw then anywhere else

Arzuhii

I'm killing myself laughing. I go to Norway a lot and the food is veeeerrry expensive. Shop assistants are not often very friendly, it's just the Norwegian way. They're abrupt. They just ask, 'What do you want?' no good morning or afternoon or what would you like? The scenery more than makes up for it. I did the trip they're did up the fjord and the FlΓ₯m railway 50 years ago. It was amazing. I'm wondering what their bork belly is like. It can be tough if not cooked really slowly. Sorry no Kimchi for me. I hear that stuff can strip paint it's so spicy.

Pauline Johnson

I love putting on my pajamas, getting comfy and re-watching some bon voyage with the watcher Fam! So glad you guys are enjoying this series, I knew you’d love it

Lexyoongi

Taehyung should be in a movie, lead actor material right there. Also nice plan, me and my friends are planning a BV tour as well but ending in SK instead.

Karla24.wintaebear

please continue to do this series.

Kimberly Lopez

Oh, and the idea of doing a trip following their bon voyage itinerary is a popular Army thing. There's websites set up for fans to easily find and do this stuff. And just last week, I think, xCeleste did similarly but not for this season of Bon Voyage. She did the next one. I'm not saying cause I don't want to give away the location. But even in today's times its possible.

Lashette

Tae and Jin are the actors of the group for a reason. That argument. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate re-watching this with you guys. I'm reminded of so many memes, jokes form the guys and bon voyage trends that started here. This episode was the start of Yoongi giving dad energy for example. This is also when fans really got to see how good he and Jin are at cooking. One of the things I like about Bon Voyage is how the way its edited we basically go on vacation with them. We see the sights too, which is cool. I've been to Norway and it is so beautiful. It's a relatively cheap overseas trip, you guys should definitely go one day.

Lashette

Just to let you know, J-Hope is the mom of the group when it comes to BTS vacation photos. He makes sure (I mean, makes sure!) there are group photos, subunit photos, member photos, selfies on these Bon Voyage trips. Now Jimin is Mr. Sly and takes the incriminating photos during Run BTS when somebody does something you don't necessarily want in a picture, but yeah, Jimin took a photo of that.

kolea626

I thought you know this by now about our Bangtan boys - when they eat together, they wait and share ALL the food, unless someone doesn't particularly care for something (for example, in the early days, Jimin didn't care for seafood, V didn't eat spicy food, but that's changed). JK reflected on that once - what's mine is mine, what's yours is mine attitude; that included food (but Jin feeds him from his own plate like he's an only child, it's endearing). Rock-paper-scissors is their way of democratizing situations - ALL K-Pop groups do this.

kolea626

not reaction related but just wanna say I love you guys and hope you all stay safe and healthy physically and mentally πŸ’œ

Cabi

This is the best experience FAM like for real for real πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

Awww that really makes us feel so good. Thank you and happy you like watching this with us FAM!

WhatchaGot2Say

Was definitely feeling Namjoon in that moment.

WhatchaGot2Say

Yezzz COME ON!!!

WhatchaGot2Say

Yep after we are done with a season or 2 of Bon Voyage πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

Thank you so much for the love πŸ’œ

WhatchaGot2Say

i loved this reaction so much, it's really fun watching BV for the first time with y'all

AJ

Sorry I meant ep 7

willpetdogs

Okay but why do I love mike so much πŸ₯Ί she’s so pure

Rue

Are there any plans to watch In The Soop? I just started re-watching and I feel like you and the guys would love watching it

Jessie

Hahaha In fact you can drink water that comes from glaciers in almost all countries (and by the way is the best kind of water), what you shouldn't do is drink sewer water in any country, that's when you usually get intoxicated.

Mariette Aros

Let's have a Whatcher Fam trip! ;) that would be awesome! I was thinking of going to where they went as well . :)

Lailani_s21

Watching you watch this makes me want to watch them all again. In the snoop is a deffo. Everything just gets better. Thanks for the vid guys

Claire nicholson

Mika's "i like everything Namjoon" is a whole mood lol

emx

I love your reactions. Bon Voyage is a fun series and I'm glad I get to watch it with you all. Bon Voyage makes me wish I had the means to travel like that and experience the world. I'd totally be like Namjoon just staring at the scenary on the bough of the boat. It looked relaxing.

BrooklynShoeBabe (Kisha)

When you're ready, let me know if you need recommendations. They arrived on Syttende Mai ( May 17th), Constitution Day, which is a great celebration.

PennyRB

I love your reactions. I can definitely feel your sincerity in these reactions and it makes re-watching older content so much fun!

Judy Lazaro

I like this a lot πŸ€“πŸ’œ

WhatchaGot2Say

You enjoying it gave us life Lol πŸ˜‚ Thank you FAM πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

WhatchaGot2Say

Yep πŸ€£πŸ€“πŸ˜‰

WhatchaGot2Say

After watching this we would love to visit Norway sometime. We didn’t have an opportunity to see how beautiful it is over there before now πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

That’s what we like to hear πŸ€“πŸ˜Œ

WhatchaGot2Say

Thanks so much for posting these reactions. It makes me miss Norway so much, but I love seeing it through their eyes. The FlΓ₯m Railway and Sognefjord were two of my favorite places. -I appreciated their comments about finally getting some spicy food. The food there is good, but usually not spicy / what others would consider bland so I imagine it was big change for the guys. -Yes, there are places where you can drink the mountain water. (It was delicious)

PennyRB

y'all if you're enjoying it 3 episodes into season 1already, youre gonna LOVE everything else after (other seasons of bon voyage, current Run BTS episodes, in the soop especially) . everything only gets bigger and better :)

Mary

Ooooh you guys should definitely do a "BTS tour" trip when you can! My family & I went to Hawaii for vacation and I deliberately chose to go to a lot of the places BTS visited there for Bon Voyage. It was a fun experience & one of the restaurants they visited has their signatures on a poster that the owners posted up on the wall~

drea

me trying to figure out what you mean o_o

Angie

imagine just seeing taehyung skip outside your house and taking selfies -- i'd die.

Angie

Don't worry guys, many times the staff does hidden cameras and jokes like that cuz they want the boys to learn how to travel alone and to be responsible. So they do this a lot in Bon Voyage. I think It's fine cuz they are used to have all managed by their staff and their company so It is a good learning doing things alone and solving real problems alone like these. It is the same with money, they learn to use what is necessary and not be tempted by worldly. I love this, and I love watching BV with you. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Nati Sabio

You're not alone! I love watching the boys shop and pay. And also cook and enjoy their food. It's endearing.

Anita

One of the greatest episodes of BV. When I first watch it, V also got me. I legit thought he was mad. Gosh these boys. Also Nico, you mentioning you love to see the boys checking out, I could relate for real. Watch out for next BV episodes with all those shopping and grocery moments. I love them too specially when they buy something to cook or when they buy clothes and souvenirs. They're funny as heck. Plus the cooking and eating moments which is my most faves. Lol thanks for reacting to this today. Made my day!

Iris

Mika you better watch Nico 🀣 He might be like jin and drink that water.

Joy

Loving watching Bon Voyage with you guys. Cracked up when Mika asked 'where's your Tide pen?' when JK got sauce on his sweatshirt

Sarah

The bloopers give me life, Mika is so funny! XD πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Catsclouds

I really enjoy watching the episodes with you. One thing I found enjoyable for myself as a new way of re-watching BTS contents is watching it with my favorite reactors....like you. So instead of repeating everything by myself, I wait for my fave reactors until they catch on the episodes.

Responsible Noona

This is my third time to do the Bon Voyage Series with other reactors. Now I have the chance to do it with you guys. I always see something I missed before. I love traveling with BTS because it gives me an opportunity to see countries through their eyes; plus I am able to see them off stages being seen young men having fun. Waiting for the next episodes.πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Carlethia Street

Love the shirt!! Cobra Kai.. On another note, I always love boat trips and when they're eating.. it does get me hungry as well but it is great to see them eating delicious food. I now want korean food too.. I love that jhope waterfall pic, I think if you search for it, it was uploaded and came out greatπŸ˜‚. Can't wait for the next bon voyage reaction.

Victoria Mendez

Loved the Fjord cruise scenes. Bergen and Norway in general is so beautiful in the winter and at the time they were there. I can't wait until you dive in further. The guys are such good cooks, I can't watch any of their BVs or other series on an empty stomach.

Marguerite Engel

always lovely to see you, mika ! this is my first time watching BV1 and i'm truly having a blast with y'all. i'm with ya fam, the stunt with tae really got me. i totally fell for it lol. and nico, your response to mika asking bts to dinner... "if they say yes, we know each other. if not, don't-" *CUT* hahahaha i had tears in my eyes i was laughing so hard.

ashlyn v

Great job with the intro Mika!! Looking forward to the next Bon Voyage ep Fam!!!πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Tanya perez

I'm enjoying watching you guys react to this so much. fell for Tae's acting in this episode too. I felt so bad for him when I saw how down he looked. He's such a good actor. I love how they play pranks on each other haha. Also, I love how confident Mika seems in front of the camera now. I remember watching some of you guys' earlier reactions, and she was so quiet and seemed shy, but it was nice to see her be goofy and have fun in this video.

PurpleArmyPanda

In the Soop was amazing. And honestly not enough is said about how Suga throws down in the kitchen. They always mention Jin but I swear it was the Jin & Suga cooking show for In the Soop.

HeyMe R

There's a gem in ep 7 that will give you CHILLS

willpetdogs

Also side note, esp in Korean culture, it's considered respectful to eat together/wait to eat until everyone is present when sharing a meal. Hence, Hobi's reaction lol.

SKim

I don't know if someone already mentioned this but there's an ARMY who found out that Taehyung was outside her house when he was wandering on his own. She's active in Twitter and she copied the selfie he took with her house in the background.

Charmaine Flynn

Yay to 2 eps this month! Thanks for all the hard work, fam! Also, trying to remember what it was like watching BV for the first time bc I feel like these videos were how I really began to form impressions of BTS as individuals and their bonds with each other. And a testament to Namjoon's phone being saved by other members and staff for the last 7-10 years. So wonderful revisiting these with you both (and the rest of the fam)!

SKim

LOL Mika figuring out a way to make Niko turn off the camera is too funny. And if you guys want a travel buddy I'm down. I'm a good traveler because I like to go with the flow and have other people make all the decisions. I make enough of those in my life I don't need to make more lol. I travel a lot with my best friend and her husband. He likes it when I tag along because I don't like a grouchy friend so I will usually have her coffee ready in the mornings lol. Damn I miss traveling πŸ˜₯

Rae Avilez

- the reason they have a budget is because the premise of this first season, that Yoongi specifically asked for, was to make it feel like a normal bunch of 20-something friends backpacking through Europe together - that's why they were only permitted carry-on bags, given minimal assistance from the staff, and live off a budget, so they can get that authentic experience - "normal" is a rare experience for them, so these are precious memories they're building - Korean food addiction is so real - I haven't been back to Korea in over 30 years (I was born there and spent the first decade of my life there), but I can't go a week without Korean food or I will dream of it - I do Korean pork belly bbq at home - get some nice thick pork belly from Whole Foods, and broil it in the oven on high - when it starts to get nice and brown, pull it out, cut it up into bite-sized pieces, and broil for a few minutes more until it's as crisp as you like it - serve it alongside lettuce for wrapping, thinly sliced raw garlic, slices of raw jalapeno, homemade ssamjang, and a shredded green onion salad I put together while the pork belly is roasting - easy, simple, and so delicious! - gochujang stew - gochujang is Korean red pepper paste - pretty much, you toss in whatever veggies you want to clear out of your fridge, whatever meats you want to clear out, tofu if you got it, dump a spoon or two of red pepper paste in there and stir fry for a bit, cover it with some water, season to taste - it's kind of a catch-all soup, like many cultures have to clear out the fridge, and very spicy, hearty, and tasty

Lux

Agree πŸ’― FAM. This is what makes this series very special. Can’t wait to see more πŸ€“

WhatchaGot2Say

I love all seasons of Bon Voyage and In the Soop. Both allowed us a glimpse of how they are perhaps when the cameras are not around. Simple things like paying for their food, cooking, and goofing around make them seem more real and down to earth. Love it and love watching it again with you guys.
