Since I am fairly new to your patreon, I saw that you are reacting to season 4 and just uploaded an episode I wanted to start from the beginning. I am excited for this. It's crazy to think that in 2016 they were listening to Coldplay and that they were big fans. Now having done a cover of Fix You, working on My Universe, and Jin doing The Astronut with Coldplay. I wonder what their reaction would have been if you told them that in the future they will be very close friends with Coldplay....haha They have definitly come a long way since 2016. I love the chaos of season 1...haha JImin always forgetting things and RM. They are just so fun to watch. On to the next episode!

Ha! Also, I think Tae being late and Suga leaving early threw their rhythm off. But, there were a lot of fun moments). I decided to watch 1 and 2 with you guys. I love your comments and reactions. Then in 2020 they dropped bts is the soop for their quarantine and that was so magical that I didn't want it to end. Just watching them be them over the years. Nothing is realer than that.

I have a friend who has been a fan for years and we watched season one of Bon voyage together and it was such a cool surprise that they went to Norway first. Me and my friend are both Norwegian and we were both studying in Bergen at the time they were there. Fun and frustrating ^_^ who knows, I might have walked right past them (no evidence of that in the eps though). You definitely need to watch the Behind episodes as well! It is just more greatness ^_^

The guys joke about making Jimin figure it out on his own but Namjoon is the one who calls the consulate. You get a peek as to how much it entails being the leader of the group. Jimin jokingly calls Namjoon "dad" now, and this is one of the examples where you see it pretty clearerly. The "I helped you this far now do the rest on your own" is such a dad move lol!

It fuels the creativity, makes them more well rounded people, gives them a chance to be normal, and they learn to appreciate everything they have. Aside from teaching them problem solving skills and team work. The BVs are some of my favorite shows.

But it doesn't explain very well, Yoongi is missing from the episode cause he stayed in the hotel. I think he didn't feel well or was just really tired and stayed back.

When I first watched Ep 0, I was honestly kind of sad to see that no one really chose RM to travel with except Hobi (I think they've always had an understanding of each other, being the same age). Considering it was early days, and now knowing how much pressure RM was under as the leader, esp in the beginning, I wonder if that really caused some loneliness on his part. I feel like there have been hints of this too in their early festas and BVs, etc. Esp considering how important respect is for titles and age, etc in Korean culture, it makes me feel like it must've been tough for RM to navigate (esp since they were TEENS when they debuted!) and to be as close as he wanted to be with the other members in the early days .....or maybe it really about his snoring? lol. Either way, it's clear they have always cared for each other, but really amazing rewatching these and realizing how much closer they have gotten over the years. Salute to our prez, RM

Not sure how you're scheduling your viewing but you could include it at the end of viewing the main episode. And episode 1 in season 1 has an epilogue as well.

We traveled to Korea and washed our clothes in the Lotte hotel - washers in Korea are not straightforward as say, washers in Japan. There are YouTube instruction videos, which fortunately I knew of beforehand(!!!) so I was able to watch those and could wash my clothes with ease (yay!). As J-Hope said, this is the 21st century and we have Naver/Google.

And have fun! I loved all four seasons - and don't forget the epilogue to episode 1! I believe there was a broadcast on network TV in Korea and there was an epilogue only for the first episode.

Another fun language thing - when Jimin hit JK, he made the onomatopoeia sound effect Ppang! The cartoon loaf of bread appeared because ppang is also bread in Korean. It reminds me of Cockney slang.

You'll notice when they're having conversations it's often just editors captions in square brackets. They're important to read because it explains what's going on, but remember they aren't actually the members words. Yoongi loves photography. He used to share all his photos under the hashtag Suga's Sight. At one point he was a photography major at university

You see tid bits of info, inside jokes, not in the reg episodes and other times completely new that didn't make the cut. This was before Burn the Stage, so BV1 was the most natural and intimate state we had seen BTS in off-stage. I remember how impressed we were by how seamlessly the guys delegated tasks and resolved conflicts. Their level of trust and respect in each other even back then was astonishing. None of the members seriously scolded or yelled at Jimin for losing his luggage. They only teased him and Namjoon calmly called the consulate for instructions. Yoongi wordlessly accepted the responsibility of being the accountant and no one objected. They knew he was the best person for the job. It's great to rewatch the first season now because you can see how much all of the members and their friendships have matured.

2021-03-03 06:48:39 +0000 UTCOh man, the memories. I haven't watched this in awhile. So many memories. FYI, there are 8 episodes per season, plus the 00 episodes. You guys need to be prepared for some more worrisome moments like Jimin losing his bag. Otherwise, you'll have a heart attack before you finish season 1, lol. Things to keep in mind: they are not the men they are now. You'll see how they grow and learn from these trips. Maknae line in particular were a lot more hesitant about certain things. There's a little more bickering back then. They are famous but nowhere near what they are today. You can actually see how their fame grows each season and they can go less and less places without being noticed. Other than V filming Hwarang, Yoongi was also working on his first mixtape at this time and generally stressed af. This was to show fans other sides of the guys. Lost my bag and laundry fairy Jungkook were memes from this episode. Oh and I forgot about the first interview. Re-watching that I see a lot of hints for the future.

Because they started out so young with BTS, they really missed out on a lot of life skills that others their age were learning. I think they were really thrilled to get to experience things that others their age often experience...travelling around Europe, staying in hostels and B & B's...just generally fending for themselves. Since they began with BTS, they are used to having staff do most things for them...not because they feel it is beneath them (like so many artists), but because they were BUSY as hell with...you know...world domination. It's a win/win/win for BTS, BighIt and the fans. BTS gets a down to earth experience, BigHit and the fans get more content (although I am sure the guys would love to do a trip together without cameras following them around). I have watched the series before, but will enjoy watching it again with you. Thanks for reacting.

Everyone turning 20 at that year celebrates that day.ย JK was turning 20 in September, 4 months after this episode. You are in for so much FUN with Bon Voyage!! There is also a behind the scenes that is really fun to watch to. It has the videos the boys shot with their cameras. Itโs nice to see them doing normal everyday things, makes them super relatable. It is also fun to see their growth and how they get closer with each season. Look forward to watching more with you!

2021-03-03 00:31:08 +0000 UTCI've only just started but i loooove how closely you're following the captions. bon voyage moves sooo quickly so it's definitely good to try and catch all the captions or you'll end up very confused. they randomly put important things in the captions and if you don't catch it then it's so hard to follow along. pausing like you have been is definitely the best way for bon voyage. also (sorry if you mention it later in the ep) will you be watching the behind the scenes?

2021-03-03 00:22:20 +0000 UTCI just rewatched BV a couple of week ago, so I guess I will rewatch for the nth time. This was in 2016 Fire era, they haven't won a Daesang yet, no BB. I think they patterned this season to a korean reality variety show called Youth over Flowers where actors or idol groups travelled to places and had to survive on their own with a budget. They also did the surprise packing (if they're lucky, others only had to go with what they were wearing) and leaving within hours of the flight. It's a lot of fun!
