2021-01-22 22:06:47 +0000 UTCMy daughter made me watch Bulletproof Part 2 back in 2013 (?) when it first came out (she was 13 at the time) and I could not get over their precision and passion in dance (former dancer myself) not to mention the fact that such highly produced choreography could be performed while singing...get the heck outta here!!! We have NOTHINโ like that here! As a result of her love for BTS and other K-Pop groups, she taught herself Korean and is now a linguistics major in college. THATโS the kind of influence they have!

I kinda have the same story, I only found out that my mom is a fan when I saw her Facebook acct liking or commenting on BTS vids there so took a screenshot of her likes/comments and sent to our group chat. Between mumble rap, screamo, and regular songs you just can't understand the words to (to this day, I still don't know all the words of R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Aretha is still the queen though), the language barrier really isn't an excuse. English or otherwise, I usually tend to keep subtitles on just for clarification. xD

She was telling my mom about them, so my mom dove head first into that rabbit hole so she could know all about what her granddaughter likes and they could talk about it. She sends me videos now โshow this to granddaughterโ, โisnโt this granddaughters favorite one, heโs such a cutie.โ Itโs funny. I know more about these fellas than I do my own family. LoL. Itโs like I didnโt want to know all this information about them, and why did I feel guilty buying mint โn chip ice cream. (Sorry RM!)

These stories, AJJโs Aftershocks, when you shared going out for Korean food or vibin in your car (HILAR btw ๐คฃ) - this is our culture! Second, you do realize you made new ARMY, right? Thatโs how it happens too. They see you, the light and excitement you have, the fun, laughter, engagement, positivity, humbleness and optimism, they wanna know where you tapped that from, then they experience and realize it IS as amazing as everyone says, and thatโs itโs family? YASSS! Iโve โsiredโ new ARMY like that before. My guy told me one day he had conversation about BTS with his homies and I had SO many questions! I was in awe that he was having outside convos w/people, I didnโt know he was paying that much attention to me! Better yet, he was defending them when those silly retorts of being in another language, or slights about their looks came up ๐ Heโs a rap line enthusiasts and was saying โBut they rap too, they have 3 rappers who dance AND rap!โ Apparently they watched a video and by the end, his bros were about it ๐ I was beside myself. I think Iโll keep him ๐คฃ TLDR. Iโm so happy for you all and yes keep this content in your wheelhouse, itโs so appreciated.
